Dan Hardy Wins Cage Force Semi Final Bout in Japan
CW Champion Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy Wins Again In Japan
Cage Warriors Light-Welterweight (Under 73kg) Champion Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy was victorious in his Cage Force Semi Final Tournament bout against Hidetaka Monma On Saturday 8th September.
Hardy who defeated the Welterweight King of Pancrase Daizo Ishige back in May in the Cage Force Welterweight Touranment Quarter Finals, travelled out again to Japan to compete in Cage Force 4 against the former K-1 Hero's veteran. Hardy increased his current win streak to 5 stright victories by stopping Monma in Round 3 of their bout, when the Japanese fighter's corner threw in the towel.
Hardy impressed the Japanese media who were cage side and received a lot of critical acclaim due to his dominating performance. Even Sherdog.com wrote a glowing report at http://www.sherdog.com/news/articles.asp?n_id=8916
Hardy will now face Yoshiyuki Yoshida in the Cage Force Welterweight Final on December 1st, who caused a shock of his own when he defeated the former Shooto World Champion and red hot favourite Akira Kikuchi via TKO in round 1 of their bout.
Hardy entered thsi tournament due to the CWFC links with the World Wide Cage Network (WWCN) which both CWFC and Cage Force are affilated with. The CWFC team hope to have more talent trades with other WWCN members in the near future.
