I feel ff7 was the ultimate game! With Aeris dying *sniff* :cry and Tifas huge boobs.
If there was another ffVII made I think I'd pull it out and have a happy wank to celebrate!

FFVII is the best game of all time, I am fairly certain there won't ever be a sequal to it. They've milked it enough with their series of side-games, films & novels in the past few years, and there would be an absolute outrage if it wasn't made with the same level of perfection. It's too risky and will never happen imo/I don't want it to.

I just watched advent children the other day. All fans should check it out. Vincent is a total badass in it

I'm sure you can get a PC version which you could plug a pad into and play it easily enough there, but I've only played the PS1 version. It might look and feel slightly dated by now after 2 generations of consoles, but I've honestly never had a comparable gaming experience.

I bought Dirge of Cerberus (one of the side-stories) on the PS2 and it was alright for nostalgic reasons, but the game itself was fairly shit (a weak version of Devil May Cry really), and the story sparse and under-developed.

I have a mate who slagged me relentlessly about FF for a long time, so I got fed up and essentially forced him to buy Final Fantasy X on the PS2... he played it all day, every day until he finished it (in however many hundreds of hours) and he came away from it saying it was the best game he'd ever played, so even that would be worth a gander. I personally enjoyed FFXII as well but it's not really on the same level. You should be able to get the games for a few quid each by now I think.
