I say 'interesting' because he destroys the guy and then puts him in the recovery position.

I was always wondering whether this was a good idea if you ever happen to knock someone out in the street.

What do you think?

It definately looks better if you put someone in the recovery position after knockin em out (if its appropriate and you can do it safely). If you claim you were acting in self defense or using a pre emptive strike as you thought you were in danger, it makes your story more credible as once the danger has been averted, you have shown integrity and a duty of care to your assailant as opposed to continuing the beating (which would not do you any favours if caught on camera) or leaving them for dead (therefore showing no regard for their health and intent to harm them or leave them with harmful injuries).

Unfortunately I have had to resort to this course of action a few times in the past and it always looks much better if you take the moral high ground and administer some form of first aid to show that you only did what you did because you were forced to and left with no other affective way of averting physical harm to yourself. You need to show you acted out of necessity, not malice or retribution. Controlled aggression.

By the way, how sickening is the second crack when his head hits the floor? Always sends a shiver down my spine that sound!!

Anyone read the Geoff Thompson books? There is the bouncer he worked with, who was about 5ft tall/wide, and would KO people with his love shovels!
