I train MMA Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday so I have mince which have a bit of fat in them (still extra lean so as little as possible) but on days I don't train I eat salmon, however I still do the cardio every morning.

looks fine to me mate

Stay off the junk and it looks like you'll hit your 2kg with ease :)

I personally can never do those types of boring diets. They make me depressed lol.

Blinkin eck mate!! Didn't I send you a diet??!! Don't get too stressed mate, you've got plenty of time. But if you're gonna do a diet, do it. Don't just do part of it, ask for suggestions and keep choppin and changin mate. honestly, try the diet I gave you. At least try cuttin out the milk and the mince if not.

Fuckin' hell mate, you sure like your tuna, lol!

Seems alright although If it were me I'd mix it up a bit, say replace some of the tuna tins with salmon, or Trout and have rice or Veg with each one. I'd also put the tuna in pasta n mix with chopped tomatoes or something, make it a bit more interesting. Could also add Steak and Potatoes to replace one of the mince nights.

I guess its ok.Im sure you'l lose weight, its not healthy though? But I suppose severe weight cutting isnt a healthy thing to do. You need to ensure you get full recovery benefits from your food, post training, or you'l hit the wall and burn out.

Oh yeah Rice cakes suck aswell!! White carbs in it!!next to no nutritional benefit from them.you'd be better having a slice of wholemeal/granery brown bread I reakon?

Stapes, that pretty much is the diet you set me, I just mixed a few bits around. I love mince so much ;) But yeah, I will be cutting them out at the 4 weeks to go point, it is just I hate whey in water so have mince as a big protein source at night... I may change it for chicken brest or sommit.

hmm, the rice cakes I have are brown rice, so I guess they are alright... they are more for when you think "I need to eat" and you eat, but rather than a 300 calorie mars bar or 250 calorie sandwich you are eating a 17 calorie rice cake you know?

and I have dropped the milk out of the oats in the morning... that sucks though, horrible watery porridge in the morning, ick. Still having milk in my cups of tea though ;)

I feel really strong and healthy right now though, the weight loss so far (2KG) has made me slightly faster and the extra cardio is deffinetly working. I think my performance at training last night was my best to date, I feel tierd etc before I start training, but my mentality to train usually over takes any pain / teirdness I feel...

What whey are you having with water? I drink it with water all the time and it's fine.

Get yourself some optimum nutrition gold standard whey. It's really good, mixes no lumps and tastes great.

Try that or a search on google, I have the strayberry as it's normally the safest flavour to go for.

Had holland and barratt soy protein once, threw it out!

that holland and barrett crap brings back memories.

Now i use (i think its) maximusle, with a scoop of nesquik in it so its not so harsh tasting. i have both chocolate and strawberry wheys.

good luck with the diet. i'm just starting to sketch mine out now

Hey, diet is going awesome. Now down to 67KG, which isn't bad at all considering I started at 70 only 3/4 weeks ago. 1 more KG to lose in 4 weeks :)

I have changed my diet SLIGHTLY, will post up what I am doing shortly... seems to keep me fuller longer and has more protein.

Have been looking for protein to mix with porridge so may try this Chefs whey stuff!

Nak-Muay

What is Caesin?

Nak-Muay
14-05-2007, 11:19 AM
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Breakfast
Bowl of Oats with Water - 200 calories
2 Egg Whites

Reason: Good carbs and fats from the oats. I just finished reading a fitness magazine which says never eat carbs alone, mix them with small amount of protein and they are less likely to turn to fat (other reasons to I can't rememeber!).

Lunch
Apple - 64 calories
Can of Tuna (130g) - 130 Calories

Reason: Decent amount of protein with little fat in the tuna. Decent amiunt of carbs in the apple, which have a very low GI to keep me full until my next meal (usually 3-4 hours time).

Dinner
125g Salmon - 180 calories
Peas - 70 calories

Reason: Fair amount of carbs and Protein, pretty much no fats at all and is a decent meal to eat at about 6pm 1/2 hours before I train.

Supper
3 Rice Cakes - 51 calories
125g Chicken - 180 Calories
Peas - 70 calories

Reason: Again high in protein, a small amount of carbs in the rice cakes, none of which sugar, very little fat, should help to keep me full for the night.

After Training:
Scoop of whey in water - 90 calories?

Reason: You know this by now... ;)

Water: Added an extra 1.5 litres, so now drinking about 3 litres maybe a little more a day. Was reading that water keeps your hunger down and metabilism up... can't be bad :)

My 'plan' is to lose about 1.5KG over the next 2/3 weeks and then my final week I can relax and eat properly with carbs. I would be 65.5KG a week before my fight, allowing me to eat well on the week upto and the day of my fight. This latest diet has more protein in and a better variety as someone suggested. Still trying to find a carb source I like, but right now my energy isn't too low, when it does drop I'll just have another bowl of porridge about 2/3 hours ;)

Chicken Wheat Roll - 300 Calories

Dinner

Casein is milk protein slow release so ideal for before bed.

Nak-Muay
16-05-2007, 02:45 PM
haha, well I am only like 66KG, so my intake on a normal day is only about 2000 calories or less, at the moment I am aiming for around 1500 calories a day. I won't eat a great deal today as I am skipping dinner due to being at work, then going MMA and won't be home until 10pm. So today is my eat bugger all day really =P As I said on top of that will probably be a tin of tuna & whey.

Casein where can you get it from and is it expemsive? So you fix it with water or what? Sorry not heard of powdered milk before :S

I fight on June 10th, my aim is to kick my ass down to 65.5KG by the 3rd and then have a week of normal eating leading up to the fight and try loading in carbs until I am dead on 66KG.

Tomatohead
16-05-2007, 02:53 PM
casein is quite pricey but not quite powdered milk lol! I do it relatively cheap but im in nottingham and it aint on the site. I really wouldnt count calories if you dont need 2 cut massive amounts eating little and often should just be the way 2 go with that. you'll be able to cut the difference in fluids.

Nak-Muay
16-05-2007, 03:01 PM
Yeah, I have a feeling my weight is below 67 at moment, but I am drinking 3 - 4 litres of water a day so I get the water weight added on, week before my fight I am going to ease off the training and go back to the normal 2 litres a day and hopefully that will give me some added -KG.

I am not really OTT about my diet, it is just if I get this weight of I can have a good healthy week leading up to my fight where I can store some decent carbs, rather than a dieting week leading up to my fight.

Tomatohead

Ate the same for my last fight and went two fights one after the other, second guy was fresh and won both (first by KO, second by tap out). Doubtful 'I will get my ass handed to me'. I appriciate the advice, but suggesting getting in a sauna the morning I am due to fight doesn't appeal to me, when I get out of a sauna I usually feel groggy and ill for a couple of hours as it is, so I think I will avoid that if possible.

Wish I could order some, but my card is currently un-useable... without giving too much of a sob story... some Spanish guy stole my mobile phone with my contract sim in it. I phoned O2 and they told me they would sort it out... two days ago my bill comes through £390.00 =( So not only have I bought a new phone, my bank account is now suffering as I had a £390.00 withdrawal I didn't know was coming and have also now been charged £40.00 for an unauthorised overdraft... spect it will be a little while till I can buy sups... I will deffinetly give them a go when my account gets sorted though =(
