Thanks to all the people who helped out and made the day enjoyable for everyone. I will post photographs on the forum and on myspace.com/negc in a couple of days.

Some of the fights were awesome, for me fight off the day was between chris scott and ross pearson in the absolute final – what a fight.

Congratulations to Chris Scott on winning the title belt and being crowned the first NORTH of ENGLAND GRAPPLING CHAMPION.

I may have organised the tournament, but you guys made it…. Thanks.

was an excellent show, best grappling event ive been to. very well ran. I really enjoyed competing. the level of competition was very high.

well done to all the local lads, spesh scotty for blazing through the competition and ross for having match of the night like ten times...

Well done to Ed Drysdale from our team who won the lightweight cat and everyone else who took part or helped organise, there were some great matches to watch yesterday.

your guy qas fuckin huge for a lightweight, did he miss the weigh ins?

only jokin mate he was very skilled on the ground well done. still massive though.

Hehe, I'm told he came in at 72.8 at the weigh ins, he's short but strong as hell with and to make it worse knows what he's doing too.

For my sake in any future comps hope he keeps the weight off and stays at lightweight, don't want him at welter!
