Some real good bjj on show yesterday.
That was the upside but on the downside i
witnessed some of the worse treatment of
a competitor in any sport event i`ve ever
been to.
Some people need to be graciuos in defeat
or if you cant be then dont compete.

I didn't see much of that, lots of good sportmanship on show I did see a couple of people who could've been a little more gracious in victory but nothing over the top.

Maybe that was the guy in white belt absolute (who lost) I saw kicking his opponent away from ontop of him after the contest???

Thank you to Pedro Bessa, the organisers and referees for a great job! The day was very well run all things considered and the venue and overall vibe was great. Thank you to all my opponents in white belt, middle heavy weight and absolute especially Oliver and Thomas! I won one fight and lost the other but I learnt a whole heap from you guys. and that is what its all about. I must admit there were some much more technical white belts than myself in the competition and thankyou to all my opponents for revealing where I must improve!

Thankyou to Russell, Manj, Chin, Nick and the Plymouth boys (nice to meet you!) for all your great help! Thankyou to Ze Marcello, Xandinho, Danny Batten, Ramz, Byran, Sid (thanks for lending me the technique bro!), Fishman, Samir and everybody else who helps me learn! Well done Manj, I didnt realise you won bro! and once again well done to Thomas from Gracie Barra I think for a great contest and win in the absolute white belt semi final we had!

peace.

Really enjoyed the day and met a some cool people from some other clubs which is always good.

Like to give big props to my opponent in the SSHW blue ( Allan 'Shrek' Love )who was promoted that day to blue and said he would fight me as I had no opponents and would only be competing in the absolutes. The man is a proper competitor.

Hopefully next time there will be some other big lads to fight against.

Allan is a great competitor and a top bloke to boot, he definitely deserves his blue belt and does us proud at every competition he enters!

I did see a couple of people who could've been a little more gracious in victory but nothing over the top.

1 of the people involved was a 15yr old girl.

Someone abused a 15 year old girl? - that is bang out of order!

The poor girl was only being freindly &
sportsman like.
I spoke to the girl afterwards & found her
& her team mates very freindly &
approachable ,unlike the other women.
