Hi guys.

My training partner James, his long-suffering wife, and I have been in Cape Town since April. It's been a long time in the planning, but we're doing something we've always dreamed of, and setting up an academy here. The builders are working hard, and the academy should be ready to open in the next few weeks. The Cape Town jiu jitsu community have been friendly & welcoming, and we've rolled with most of them, including Jason Gregoriades (who runs the closest Gracie Barra).

We're also sorting some accomodation out here, so if anyone wants to come out for a training holiday, Cape Town is an amazing place, and cheap too.

Mens Health is the biggest mens mag in Africa, ahead of GQ & FHM, and they've done an article on GJJ/BJJ with us in the August edition, and Carl Fisher's going to do an article in Fighters, so keep an eye out for that. Our first priority is self defense, but we'll be doing sport jiu jitsu too, so we hope to have good balance of both.

Here's the website, we hope to develop it as the academy opens & we get our first students - www.graciejiujitsu.co.za

All the best guys, and see you soon on the mat,

Gary & James.
