I know theres a few people on here who know there stuff about bones and the like of that, so would appreciate some help on i havnt got a clue whats going on.
About a year and a half ago i done my big toe in a football game. i rested for a month or two and went to the hospital but they just give me some tape and sent me home. Ever since i started training if i noked it quite bad it would swell up and i would have to take a few weeks off, which i can understand. Now its getting to the point though where im wearing wrestling boots and if i even nock it the slightest it will swell rite up and theres a bump which kinda looks like a bone sticking out. I went to the hospital and explained even if i just nock it it goes like this but they wont touch it or even have a proper look.
Any advice on what to do except taking like half a year out?

thanks in advance.

I would demand an x-ray!

You need it x-rayed and may need it broken and re-set.

get your gp to see it. ask him to get it x-rayed or to refer you to an orthopaedic clinic. its unfortunate that people are being so unhelpful. if you work at a place with an occupational health service they might be able to sort things out for you.

it may not have healed properly. little toes arent that important but your big toe is.

I tried demanding a x-ray and it just ended up in a arguement and him saying hes not going to. Theres not much more i can think of and its stopping me from trainin now which takes the piss abit like.

Don't know about that mind, I went to the walk in clinic at Bunny Hill in Sunderland when I broke my hand in competition (told them that I'd went against the paramedics advice and fought on too) and they said "It's probably broken, we had better do an x-ray" got it done within 20 mins of walking in the door...

Mabye try popping in one of those? Not sure if there is any in shields, but the Bunny Hill one is top class... they know me by name now thanks to all my injuries and infections from training :D :D
