The STBA (scottish Thai boxing assoc) has been running there school of excellence for about a year now, all invited schools meet up one sunday every few months and they have guest instructors who teach a certain area of the game for for a few hours then allow lots of time for sparring giving people a chance to spar and learn from fighters and students from other gyms. (these gyms often compete against each other on shows)
I think this very open minded and innovative idea will really help develop muay thai in scotland, we should follow this idea and set up a scottish MMA school of excellence where we can get together, bring in instructors and develop together for the good of the sport.
