I thought I would resurrect this thread as opposed to starting a new one as the question has been asked before and not really answered.

I am looking for somewhere in Inverness or close travelling distance that I can do some beginner mma style classes. I have looked at every possible search option on google but all the numbers / email addresses seem to be out of use.

I am interested more in the BJJ / grappling side of things although Thai may be an option. It seems that Inverness has a few Karate / TKD / Kempo places but not much in the way of mixed training.

Any pointers in the right direction would be appreciated.

Bob Murdoch who trained out of Caley / Strathy Muay Thai is now based in Kingussie. He runs classes in Kingussie and Granton on Spey. They're not dedicated MMA classes but it would be worth having a wee chat with him as his classes may suit you and, failing that, he'll know what's in the area. Gavin Lairds gym, The Forge, has jst opened. FusionMMA train out there. excellent S&C facilities also!
