I'm more irritated by Parisyan's comments than the fact they ran a slildeshow of her looking hot (which she does).

Shame they couldn't of featured more action shots, she is a fighter after all.

BUT, what exactly was the story there?? That fit girls fight?

Karo's comments are a bit harsh i think!

Article reads like a managed promo piece for her/EliteXC. Am guessing they approved the photos used of her wearing only EliteXC Gear?

I dig.

That's what i was wondering,so....thought i'd check out Karo's original interview.Check it out,(25mins in). It's a good episode,regardless of this topic.Ist vid.

http://www.pancrase.org/category/karo-parisyan/

Originally it was 'roundtable discussion' on a question from a viewer,on InsideMMA.The viewer's question is more developed than this article.

Karo actually goes on to compliment Carano's skills as a fighter "..fight of the night","fights better than guys",notice the article conveniently leaves that part out. He's not making a political statement and 'calling' for anything...he just,as he states, expresses his preference.Which he is entitled to,albeit (IMO) an immature one.

Why? 'Cos he mentions rational reasons professional female fighters should and can fight, but in the same breath provides no counter reason, rationally, for why they shouldn't fight beyond,"it doesn't look right". Isn't that the kind of nonsense people say when they want to lecture us about MMA?

....."i love women so much i don't want them to get hurt".Which women,in the context of this topic, are still falling for that kind of rubbish these days? That faux gentleman nonsense is rather unsubtle.Be a real gent and grow up.

So,it's ok for women to take a bullet,as they have in every major war up till today, so us guys can have the freedom to go about our business & compete in a cage, but god forbid they fight each other as trained professional athletes? Amir Perets, being Israeli, probably, having no illusions about the topic offers a mature opinion.

'Cos i like Karo as a fighter,i'd like to hear his views on where he draws the line on which combat sports are acceptabole for women to do or compete in? TKD? BJJ? Judo? MT? ,no brutality,or chance of the poor 'little girlies' :o getting hurt in those sports,eh Karo?

The pics themselves are just your run of the mill photos. Most sports personalities do photo spreads for all sorts of publications.A lot racier than these standard pics. It's obvious they're going to sell her partly because of her looks.

Whether she is a good person or not, considering what's been said about her fights and other dealings,i wouldn't know. But, be prepared for her to get the cover of Sports Illustrated,FHM,Playboy, etc if her career goes well and Leila Ali hasn't done it already. In fact, those publications will probably do a feature on females in combat sports......with pic spreads.

The whole "Whoarr Id love to get caught in her triangle" attitude isn't helping get more women into the sport. Cant we show decent conduct and treat female fighters with some respect rather than as sex objects?

I for one would love to see more women training MMA/Grappling, hot or otherwise.

i'd still like her to actually make weight. She should stay in American Gladiators beating up on smaller women there.

i never liked parisyan (as a personality) since i saw him on TUF that was ridiculous!
He is a top fighter with really entertaining skills but I just wish he didn't have such an attitude

Very noble disclaimer but how do you really think it feels for anyone who is grappling with you to know that while you may respect her if she gets in the cage, you're quite happy to give it "phwoar, I'd have passed her guard but I was enjoying it too much" to the other guys? I mean really?

Well, to play devil's advocate, what would you say to a guy that didn't want to roll with a gay guy for similar reasons? Possibly something along the lines of.....get over yourself and get on with it?

Matey - if a gay guy was getting his jollies from rolling with me (a highly likely scenario as I am very attractive ;)), I would feel uncomfortable about that, certainly.

But a problem would only arise if he allowed his sexuality to come into play, which I think is what Evil Rach is getting at.

It may be what she's getting at, but it's not what she said.... :)

I try not to say everything that I think. I get into trouble that way!

Besides, I thought you guys avoided eye contact when you were rolling and slapped each others arses in the showers to avoid any homosexual connotations!
