I was almost as excited seeing Phil Norman as I was Eddie Bravo. Remember watching him on gladiators when I was about 10 ! He was awesome.

Did he show anything that wasnt covered in his dvds and books? Or was it all the stuff already shown in there.

TBH Satan, I have only read one book and that was a flcik thru of my mates, so I aint well enough up on it to know; reading something compared to actually being shown the stuff are two different ball games, I was very impressed with what I saw, as I used to be pretty sceptical about the rubber guard. His half guard section was very very good indeed.

he did half guard and rubber guard. nothing anyone with the book or dvd wouldn't have already seen

I particularly liked the transition from butterfly guard to rubber guard, attacking with the sweep, making the guy react and if not swept, drop in for the rubber guard attacks. Doubt my poor knees could pull off half that rubber guard shit at the minute but he did say, practice flexibility every day and you'll get results so back to the drawing board :D

this seminar was really awesome. makes it a lot easier having actually seen eddie going throught the moves rather than just work from the books.
any chance i can get a copy of the group pictures?

There was a decent bunch of fighters / grapplers there. Enjoyed the seminar, i think the difference between books - seeing the techniques in person is quite dramatic, i've found i never really totally get moves displayed on pages of books. where as when they are shown to you and corrected, they can be perfected.

Jeez, look at me on picture 2, not a good idea having a photo taken with a mouthful of banana, makes me look like I have a problem.
Eddie was awesome as usual, I agree that being taught in person makes the books and stuff much easier to understand.
Hope he comes back very soon.

I spoke to Eddie after the show and he said he's away almost every weekend doing seminars, so will be looking to cut down round the summer time, but I'm sure he'll be back in the UK again soon :D
