Anyone trained at Ricksons academy in LA?
Am set to do some filming there in May and wandering if anyone had been before?

Yes but not at his new academy on Wilshire Blvd.....
Different location but the training will be the same....
What would you like to know?

how would you rate it, the training, the centre, was it pure BJJ or mix with MMA based grappling? Thanks - Daihlo

Training was excellent, very detailed, to quote BJ Penn I would describe it as 'Advanced Basics.' Very, very technical......
Pricey training but worth it in my opinion....
They dont offer a specific MMA slot on the current schedule only a no gi class....if you are interested in training MMA whilst in LA there are probably a number of better academies suited to your needs.

There was all that stuff that Chris Brennan said - basically that he never saw Rickson there.

I think he rarely teaches at his academy anymore, i;m pretty sure Rickson spends most of his time in brazil now. The blackbelts that teach there are meant to be great teachers thou.
