Me too. When you are losing weight I believe that you should be in a callorie defecit of 400-600 callories a day. This means that you should cut carbohydrate and bad fats in your diet to achieve roughly 1lb of weight loss a week. This is the general rule of thumb for normal folks. Athletes however, are different and you have to look at individual goals etc. to decide what you want to do.
Diet is an important part of weight loss. If you eat more callories than you burn you will put on weight.
