That's not suited to plyometrics.

Plyometric drills are by their nature fast and explosive, therefore we will be using the fast-twitch fibres predominantly. These muscle fibres tire quickly, as does the energy system that supplies them. Therefore I would recommend 1-5 rep sets for most plyometric drills, going up to a maximum of 10 reps in some circumstances. This will allow the body to remain explosive and prevent bad technique due to fatigue.

I use plyometrics mixed with resistance exercises. I think they call it complex training.

They do indeed - and its way underused and under-appreciated - excellent to see someone using it!! Whats your routine like at present....

I need to read up more I thought complexes were doing different excercises immediately after eachother with weights.

So are complexes more like the ross enemait stuff ? Maximum tension followed by explosion ? ie static squats into jumping squats / bench press into plyo press ups ?

I'm loving training like this and getting some good results.

I too refer to giant supersets of "compoundish" excercises of 6-8 reps back to back for 3-5mins when I say "complexes" ala: http://www.elitefts.com/documents/mma2.htm

Complexes are different from complex training. Complexes are a means, complex training is a method.
