Not trolling, but it's a big lump of metal with a handle on em, how "bad" can they be? or how "good" can they be? If you got the vouchers and you want them get them, I can't believe there's that much difference between one lump of metal and another of the same weight, size, shape but a different name on em...................waiting to be smashed with "the quaility of the russian ones are so much better" and "the yanks have a much better handle for your hand and if the handles not quite right your knob will fall off" etc....:D

Its the handles thats putting me off buying them, they look from the pics to be very rough on the handles and i hate wearing gloves to lift any weights.

From my very limited expirence of KB's, the handles finish are pretty much the same all over, it's the shape of the handles that seem to bother most people, again if you got the vouchers and don't want to spend the cash else where, why not get em?

This is my first post so Hi:)
I cant see it making a difference as said above they are just a lump but if you are gonna use 2 get them together so they are the same shape and size in both hands

Nah, they aren't really rough they just have a funny pattern on the metal but it is a smooth finish. If you don't like the finish you can always take it back, if you have the vouchers you might use them.

Check the length of the handles before buying one. If the handle is too short you will be forced to cock your wrist when holding the KB in the "rack" position. This is usually an easy way of seeing wether its a good KB or not without going into to much depth.

PM Hywel Teague, he loves his kettlebells. Im sure he can give you the right advice :)

Probably not on the Argos kettlebells per se but on kettlebells in general...

I think im gonna get the XLR8 ones from newitts they are cheaper than the Golds Gym ones from Argos.

I might spend the vouchers on one of those cheap airdyne type bikes instead

The downside to the kettlebells from Argos is they only go up to 16kg! I started with 16kg bells. Newitts is your best bet! However, at Argos, they are selling ab rollers with 2 separate wheels. You can make the 2 wheeled rollers out of a pair of them like Ross Enamait uses on his site. They are about 7 each.

Yeah, 16 as a top weight is a bit 'club tropicana'....

Newitts need to stock a beast (48k) too, I wanna have a go at snatching one...
