i got given a treadmill, only prob it must have been an import from the USA so i need a stepdown converter to run it which wont blow, i had a 100w one and it blew it, the spec is
0-10 MPH
1-10% power incline
1.5 continuous HP motor
15 amp circuit breaker
120 VAC 60Hz
not a clue what size coneverter to buy which wont blow? any help would be greatful

do you know the treadmill actually works??? what is the wattage req of the treadmill , whatever it is you need a transformer rated at 150%

You need either the wattage of the appliance or the current in Amps. If the wattage is available just get a converter with a higher wattage. If it just has the amps then time it by the voltage to give you your watts i.e
P=V x I where p= Power, V= Volts and I = Amps (current)

yeah it def works, had it running with a 100w stepdown and it blew it after 2 mins.
i dont know what wattage it is or requires, only whats i put above, thats why im confused

edited, cause I think I was talking crap
best guess is 10 amps (based on 15 breaker), which would be 120*10 or 1200w
