The venue will comfortably cater for up to 550 ticket holders.

We under estimated the amount of interest this show would generate, and as a result, the venue has SOLD OUT.

We have a further consultation meeting with the event managers on Wednesday 30th April 2008. Our intention is to seek authority to seat an additional 30 customers. I therefore urge those interested who have not purchased a ticket to wait till Wednesday to see if we can accommodate them.

I will endeavour to post on Thursday the result of our meeting.

i should have won in first 5 seconds ..... shame we didnt stand and bang perhaps more of petes blood would be on my shin. all credit to him for getting the win and recovering .. and thanks to saif for fantastic card and promotion..

well done to all the fighters class performances ...

how should you have won in the first 5 seconds? i wasnt hurt by the head kick. perhaps if id have kept hold of your arm it would have been broke! but thanks for the fight, at least now i know i can take a good bang to the head

Big congrats to Saif and Pete, awesome show, you wouldn't have known it was their first attempt by the sheer professionalism of the show itself.

Congrats to Dirrty Pete who got the submission he wanted but couldn't fight in the pants he wanted, unlucky to the other Combat Base guys who still put on a good show.

Fight of the night must have been Quannum's Danny Carr V Farrell MMA's Niko Djoka (sp), excellent match with great all round skills as you would expect from 2 quality gyms. Danny's takedowns were a joy to watch.

Congrats to Dave Hirst too on a very smooth performance.

Can't wait for the next one.

i agree your arm bar was very good mate and strong but to say you were not hurt when you were looked like bambi on ice mate is a bit poor , i know and everyone in the audience knew .. but yes you can take a good kick.. perhaps one day we could do a K -1 fight . good luck with future fight:cool: s

maye tompo and pete can fight a third time so Pete can win by judges decision, afterall he's stopped him standing up and tapped him out in double quick time so now he can test out his cardio

LMFAO I might change the club name to Combat Bambi.

"to say you were not hurt when you were looked like bambi on ice mate is a bit poor" It's a bit poor posting that you should have won in 5 seconds

i know i should if i hadnt hesitated and followed up it would have been different story , im still learning the game the style i come from is completly different , only been doing mma 6 months properly. so was no supprise that pete beat me on the ground , and yeah it is poor to make out something didnt hurt or bother you , i still respect pete and wish him luck.

Why should you have won? If you'd have kicked him hard enough you might have, but "might have won" is nowhere near "shouldve won".

Its an MMA fight, the guy took your best shot and submitted you very very quickly. Thats the beauty of MMA.

When will so-called strikers stop whingin "if this was K1/Muay Thai". If you wanna fight K1 fight K1, don't complain about losing an MMA fight.

Great night. Well done Khanie and Pete.

Pete, who was the bare knuckle fighter buggin us at 3am??!!

BTW

Was this the fight that was billed as a grudge match? If so, why was it a grudge match?

I was thinkin the first one might have been one on a dodgy decision, but apparently not if it was refs stoppage.

Quality night, cant wait for next time. Graeat venue, fantastic set up, professionally run and superb main room.

Could do with cheaper food tho!!! £6.50 for a jacket potato!!!

Haha!

i think the 1st fight lasted about 10 seconds stapes?

saying lets have a k-1 fight is like me challenging someone to a grappling match after getting ko'ed in an mma fight

The extra tenner per ticket for a meal and table was ideal, decent bit of chicken breast and some nice veg for the main, happy days!

although they're going up to £60 a head next time...

To be fair, it was the hotel catering, don't think it was Khany who was chargin that!!! If Team Quannum don't have anyone on the nex card I think we'll happily get a table and tuck in!!!

Which team was it who did the Gracie train into the ring?

We were thinkin of holding Danny aloft in a Chair Egytptian style after we saw that!!

The team was called 'True Spirit MMA'.

There were a couple of clothing items left behind. So can the owner PM me and i'll ensure they get them back (too small for me to hobbo :) )

Once again a big thanks to the fighters and their corner men, who were patient even when there was a significant delay.
