The venue has moved from its old spot to a bigger and better venue about 200yds down the road.

The comp is open to all styles and all are welcome to come down and battle it out for the medals; the UMA events have already attracted the likes of RGA, Combat Base, Gracie Barra clubs, Leicester Shoot, Derby Tap or Snap and we hope that more of the bigger name clubs on the MMA and BJJ circuit will come to future events and support grass roots events such as this.

Junior and senior brackets, plus Open weights and Masters divisions on the day!

The events run at the minute, are a great way to gain competition experience without the pressures of competing in the big events such as UG and SENI, allowing novices to build up a strong base before tackling the bigger events.

Results. You have got to be having a laugh. I lost count of the number of times the wrong fighters hand was raised. The organizers at one point sent out the loosing fighter to compete in the next round telling the winner that there was know no space for him. This issue was sorted out, but after training hard, dieting all week, driving 150 miles and paying to enter I think we should all have been treated better.

I got 3rd place in the u70 cat. submitted my first two opponents then got robbed by a refs decision in the 3rd because there were no points scored?? i was on top the whole round and had to defend one arm bar attempt? i should have been in the final! never mind, apart from that it was an ok event, loads of people turned up!
