There seems to be a massive suicide rate for young people in Bridgened and the valleys. Was a spate the area I live a few years ago, most were drugs related. :(

Apparently it's not outwith the statistical norm and the whole thing is entirely media created.

I haven't seen a single report mention the statistical side of it, nor have I seen any report go into the "friendships" between these people in detail. Most of the reports seemed to imply that a lot of the relationships were from social networking sites?

There are a number of people on my facebook and myspace pages who I really wouldn't care about if they killed themselves. That's not to say I'd be happy about it, I just don't know them so I wouldn't care either way.

I can't be bothered to look it up myself because I don't really care about people I've never met killing themselves, but I have always assumed the story to be a media exaggeration.
