MMA Gyms in Essex..

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows of some good friendly gyms near Witham/Chelmsford in essex?

Been studying numerous martial arts for 15yrs now but cant seem to find an mma gym.. any info would be much appreciated.

i used to train with a purple belt called leigh catling, he has a class in witham, and he trains under braulio estima very good jiu jitsu and he faught in the 10k grapple challenge in london ...or there is suregrip vale tudo with dan and alex burzotta who run uwc

and darren little who has faught in cage rage a couple of times

oh right, you got anymore info on those places? Theres quite a few mcdojos arounnd the witham area but havent heard anything on the people you mentioned...very interested though!

pretty sure dan burzotta trains on a thurs night they have quite few pro fighters though so will be better training.

im going to def check out the westcliff place, sounds good!

The other one is called Shen-Ti academy, its literally round the corner from where i work, i emailed them the other week asking if they are still training there as it seemed to be abit dead around the area and no-one has got back to me. ive walked past it on my lunch but doors seem to be closed all the time. Its a shame though as that place would be ideal for me as its right on my doorstep!

Might drop in tomorrow and have a look again.

yes there are lots of people to train with if you are serious about fighting , they do lots of classes at westcliff

boxing and kickboxing

try and get in contact with shen ti lee is a very good jiu jitsu fighter , he might be doing some in rayleigh though

hey just thought id let people know that i went to the shen ti place during the week and again today and it just looks like its been closed down, its got a 'to let' sign on it and doesnt look like its being used inside...

Shame would have been the ideal place for me...

good fighters and could have you fight on their own show, which is quite big now

There is some sort of mma club at the dovedale sports centre in chelmsford, which some guy runs but ive heard its not that great. But that was just peoples opinions. i cant vouch that for myself.
