if its for home, have you tried open office? its compatible with all MS Office programs and well worth a shot

Open office is pretty shit, as is the newer version of office. If i were you mate i'd look for 2003 version of office, much better then the newest version of office. As the newer version is just crammed with tabs and makes things so much longer then they should be.

Openoffice is good imo

It's free, it's legal and you will pick it up quick enough

^^^^^ The only time i've needed it at home was to carry on working on stuff when I'm not in the office. For that its excellent. Not too worried about all the frills, and the fact its legal makes it all the more appealing
