Was out 2nite down Swansea for my younger bros stag do and my older bro shut his eyes for like 3 seconds in club, this big fat bald bouncer goes "right out" so we said aye we're off for food now anyway mate....he walked us outside and then shoved my 2 bros and said keep on moving, my twin bro said no need for that buddy, and he went for my twin bro, next thing i know, i got a bouncer on my back trying to choke me out, i defended it tho, i stood up and 2 bouncers punched me just as the police turned up. Tried telling the police that it wasnt our fault and they took the bouncers side. Arrested my younger and older bro for drunk and disorderly. Gonna go down police station with my bros mate tomorrow and ask them 2 watch the cctv. cocks. Bouncers stamped on my twin bros head too fucking wankers, he's got massive lumps on both sides of his head......gonna ask the police if they think that's reasonable force....

I hear ya, bouncers can be cocks here too, some of them are well alright but others are just on a power trip and think there job gives them the right to smash people for next to nothing. But then its also great sometimes to see some mouthy asshole get his ass handed to him on a plate by them.

Police should be checking cctv, if there isnt any then i dont think its fit to have a club/bar or woteva there, if your brothers just plead not guilty and explain there case im sure it will end up going there way, i got charged with drunk and disorderly and obstructing a constables duties and had previous charges and i just had to pay a fine, even then i still believe i wasnt in the wrong, i went to tesco after i was at the pub so i was boozed up, wen i got there a police man was by the door and he wuldnt let me go in so i asked why and he wouldnt give me an answer, so i told him to sort it out as all the other customers were allowed in and i said to him is it my beer so i threw that in the bin, then he still wouldnt let me in or give me an answer ! so i said to him are you stereotyping me for having a hoody on and yet he doesnt explain, just tell me to leave, im stubborn anyway but when im drunk im stubborn as fuck and i wasnt leaving for shit without an explanation to why i wasnt allowed in tesco to get some tuna and pasta when every other joe was, anyhow in the end because i wouldnt leave without my food he grabbed my arm and tried to arrest me, so for 15 minutes him and his buddy ( who was about 6ft3 16-17 stone) tried to wrestle me to the floor and arrest me, im a small guy and this big guy had to have been the weakest guy ive ever met hahaha. I got pepper sprayed in the end when all there back up arrived, it went to court and the magistrate sided mostly with me but said i was still drunk and disorderley !!.

In the statements the two pigs wrote which i got given a copy of after my case, the big guy said i mustve been on drugs because i had super strength LOL!!! (couldnt handle the fact him and his buddy got out wrestled by someone whos 5ft6 and barely 10 stone ), i just said to the magistrate perhaps hes genetically weak and that if they thought i was on drugs why wasnt a test done as soon as i was in the cell, so she took my side with all of that crap, they also lied and said i tried to punch and kick them many times, and witnesses said i didnt and i simply said i didnt and that if i wanted to hit them i wouldnt have missed the 20 times i apparently swung at them and also that if i wanted to hit them i would have hit the police officer who grabbed my arm in the first place. Also when they had pulled me out the back of the meatwagon, they pulled me face first out into the concrete so i smashed all my face up as my hands were cuffed behind my back, they carried me inside and pinned me down, then dragged me into my cell and locked the door, i was on my mobile in there because they hadnt taken anything from me yet in fear of my super strength LOL and had to get 4 armoured pigs to come in and take my belongings off of me, to which they gave me a few sneaky digs aswell, i tried hiding my mobile in my boxers but i didnt really want to be strip searched so in the end the guy had to hold my arm while i got it out slowly with my hand LOL, he thought i had a knife or perhaps some popeye spinache hidden down there.

Bit of a long winded story but was jus demonstrating my experiences of power abuse by people with a bit of authority, but if your genuine and honest and point out the obvious faults in prosecuting sides stories, the magistrate will take your side, this was even without CCTV as tescos cctv had all gone down, that is also why they lied saying i was trying to hit them as they knew the cctv wasnt on and probably why the middle age bald guy who was having a mid life crisis went on a power trip and prevented me from getting my dinner. You all know what kimbo would say about eating.

Anyhow im pretty sure your brothers can come out on top over these charges and at worst they will get a fine for about 90 quid.

I some bouncers are ok but a lot of them are a bunch of cocks I think you find its the same were ever you go and for the police I have never had any luck with them a few years back they charged me because of previous convictions that were from 5 years before hand so in my opinion every one of them are COCKS every one of them that I have met seams to be on some sort of power trip and not one of them have ever done any thing to help me

Some bouncers are complete idiots but some are genuinely nice people. I think it comes down to how big the club is, in my experience, the bigger the club determines how much of an utter d*ck the bouncers are. Which is understandable because when it's rammed with people, you dont want to take any chances and you want to show assertiveness and aggression to make sure the person you're trying to throw out isnt given a chance to retaliate and smash you over the head with a pint glass. But saying that alot of the bouncers nowadays have big shoulders, big egos and probably go home to play with their small dicks.

I remember one time (at band camp), at the Printworks in Manchester, I was in Opus (which has easily got to be home of the most egotistical pricks I have ever known), and they were trying to throw out a couple of guys who in all honesty were beered up and being n*bs. One of the guys refused to be dragged out and said "I'll leave but get your hands off me, you can stay behind me and walk me out but dont touch me..." which is fair enough but the bouncer decided to go on a power trip and not listen to him and tried grabbing him by his neck... *dramatic music*... the bouncer got double legged and slammed into the floor and while he tried to get up, another bouncer tried taking him down and he got sprawled on... it took 4 bouncers to take him down and get him out but not without making some of them look like fools. It just goes to show that you cant go round manhandling people because one day you're gonna grip up the wrong person and they're gonna be more than experienced to hand you your arse on a plate.

And this is why i dont agree with the SIA registration, i worked in clubs for 13 years and bar staff and management, i used to be able to trust my door team and could expect them to watch my back and that of my staff, they had the experience to know when to use force and also when just to be restrained and be able to talk a situation down, since the introduction of the SIA we have lost a LOT of very experienced door staff, as many of them were unable to gain the new registration due to holding some sort of criminal record, what we have been left with are unexperienced staff who think that now they have the badge and a door to stand on gives them the right to be able to use their fists and nothing else, they dont have the knowledge or the skills to be able to see when a situation calls for just some quick talking or some other sort of restraint. Plus we have lost the camaradrie we used to see, it used to be a family where we all looked out for each other, now it's who can look out for themselves and not what your fellow doorman is doing, or watching each others backs! Thats why i left the bar and club industry and settled for a nice an quiet family restaurant!!

I've found most to be really pleasant with a gsoh. It's a bit like the police they take terrible abuse sometimes and have to show restraint. Some of them work in very run down areas where frankly they have to be tough. I know a few who have had terrible beatings for the cheap labour they do and whom have also received death threats to themselves and their families. I'm sure as Xanthic says some are idiots, but for the most I think they do a good job in good humour:)

One police officer was a right cock lastnight, he was one of those 'bullied in school' police officers and he was on a right power trip. Arrested my younger bro straight away, my bro was saying "my brothers have just been assaulted" and he said right move on and my brother repeated it and he goes "right this ones being done for drunk and disorderly".

Some, also like in Sugars have this selection process, which can cause trouble in itself. The feeling that youve got dressed up and then are refused entrance must cause embarrassment and in some cases reaction.

Loads of places in Manchester have done away with the 'shirt, shoes and trousers' rule on a Saturday which I think is great but I have to agree with you there G&T, gettin' scrubbed up then gettin' refused entrance because they "dont like the way you look" annoys the sh*t out of me.

Opus are the worst for it! I havent been in the Printworks for ages purely because the doorstaff are all c*cks. My friend got turned away because she was dressed in black. They ignored the fact it was a black DRESS, it was because she was in dark clothing, no other explanation... they didnt even attempt the "...if something happens inside, the cameras may not be able to pick you up..." which has been used on numerous occasions at Paparazzi.

The best door staff I have ever come across in the whole of Manchester has got to be Gaz and Michelle Grizzle who used to work the doors at Bar Bluu in the Northern Quarter, they've been moved round the corner to another bar, the name of which escapes me. And Phil O'Hare who used to do Waxy O Conners. Fair enough they're friends of mine but when watching them work, they are easily the most polite and professional bouncers I have ever seen.

I love Manchester bars with selection process. After almost 25 years of being turfed out of pus and clubs and refused entry to most, I have finally hit middle age and with it an air of respectability that seems to get me let in to most places now. It’s just a pity I can’t get a babysitter more often

I am an SIA approved trainer and worked doors all over. I agree that the experience has gone from the old boys and i get students from uni etc asking to do courses, they have no life experience or conflict experience.
I have to say that alot of the experienced guys who have done my courses say that it has opened their eyes into dealing differently with conflict than we used to.

The biggest wind ups for people is when doorman use crap reasons to refuse entry...wearing rockport boots, burberry etc.
I teach the principle that if there is a dress code get it on a notice at the front so people can see the rules. Why doorman just dont tell people they are drunk and come back next week does my head in.
I got refused myself on saturday after boxing show in Notts. i had Timberland boots on, apparently not suitable for that club........total shit reason but hey you get bad apples in every game.

I just dont get why he had to start, we were all walking out, no arguing cos we were on bout going for food anyway. And as soon as we got out the door he shoved my 2 bro's in the back and was like "FUCK OFF". My twin bro turned round and goes "whoa no need for that" and he starts swinging at my bro. Then I'm on floor defending a choke. My twin bro got knocked out and kicked in the head, my bro's friend whos in the army was walking with his hands above his head saying "please I dont want any trouble, just please stop hitting my friend" and he got KO'd by a bouncer. One bouncer was windmilling at my older bro and missing and another one ran over and basically choke slammed/rock bottomed my older bro. As soon as the police turned up all the bouncers disappeared and the police didn't wanna know. My twin bro didn't recieve any medical attention. We were telling the police that he'd been assaulted and KO'd and all we got was "WALK ON NOW!!! OR BE ARRESTED!!!"

From my experience in these matters the CCTV will show nothing. The club CCTV will undoubtedly be "not working" or not give a good enough picture. I suggest you go back down with paintball guns and blast them all then drive a way. Or CS Gas them or something.

i used to think that all bouncers were cocks but its only some of them to be fair.

my girlfriend has had a rough time of it lately and went out on the piss with her mate, got really drunk and the bouncer called me to say he was putting her in a taxi, il buy that guy a beer when i next meet him.

On the other hand iv been in bars when the bouncers are far too excesive and abuse thier privledges with drunk guys, instead of ushering them outside they find it ok to punch them when they cant defend themselves.

I'd have to question why anyone would become a bouncer, particularily anyone without any real fighting experience. Friends of mine who i've known for a while and work has bouncers have always been a bit insecure and since working the doors have really gotten drunk on their power. The funny thing is if anyone hit them i'm sure they'd fall to pieces.

I got asked to do door when an incident occurred and i took the guy down and held him till the cops came.
I only do it for the money really (sounds harsh), I mean i enjoy the banter betweens punters and door, and i guess if someone starts something i know i can handle myself due to 13+ years of self defence and martial arts training.
I will say though 95% of the guys on the door are complete losers and im ashamed to be stereotyped in the same group as them. But Just dont forget not every bouncer will get drunk on power or go looking for fights.

yeah it really is, i was shocked when i did the course that they dont show you one tiny bit of self defence or restraint work. The guy who ran our course said the best form of self defence is Talking your way out of trouble, ringing the police and backing off from the inccident.... Kind of stupid considering that if your the bouncer you supposed to control any incident with the force that is necessary......

Plus the door license is very very overpriced... something like £400 now i think.

Police phoned my bro yesterday and asked if he'd still like to continue with the complaint against the bouncers, my bro told them that it was actually my twin bro that wanted to go through with it, but would actually like the police to take it on themselves after viewing the cctv footage, which will clearly show a bouncer kick my twin and stamp on his head.

Suprise suprise, the policeman said "uh yes...thats the thing you see, we have viewed the cctv footage and it actually wasn't pointing down the street at this time."

What a load of bollocks, just don't want the paperwork. My bro said "ah so basically then it'll be mine and my brothers word against like 10 bouncers? So there's no point in really going through with it?" And the policeman said "I can't advise you on what to do or what not to do, but basically yes it will most likely be like that".
