What brand would people recommend and where would you recommend getting them?
We are looking to get around 5 pairs.
Thanks!!
Twins, Sandee, Fairtex, Raja : for ease of use the velcro strap, though the buckle ones are a better choice personally but not so hot if constantly changing - will last for ever - buy the proper 'thick' pads not the small or medium size ones for better absorption...

Over the years the following brands have proven themselves to be worth the money (all are Thai brands);
Windy
Twins
Sandee
Fairtex
Windy Large are absolutely huge, really quite un-necessarily huge. Unless you are planning to pad a horse there is no reason for them. The Medium are also big but not stupidly big. The Fairtex Standard in my opinion is not worth the money as all the others are better
Twins, Fairtex Extra Thick and Sandee are similar in size and weight. The Sandee are slightly slimmer (width not thickness) but only by a inch or less. The Fairtex are the most expensive but I personally dont think you really get anything for the extra cash. All these brands are leather and made with a composite core constructed from around seven layers of varying density foam with a rigid polymer core. Other brands (including other Thai bands) are made from cheaper foam or just single pieces of foam which degrade more quickly than the (more expensive) composite construction.
In terms of which is best it is really down to what you are going to use them for. For example Dave Jackson Muay Thai coach at the wolfslair preferred the small pads as they are just as thick as the large ones but provide a smaller target area and he can move his arms about more quickly when using them.
We also have a Sandee one with a high grade PU shall instead of leather. It has exactly the same core construction but a PU shall making it about 25% cheaper than the leather ones. Popular with clubs buying in bulk on a budget. Obviously doesn't last as long as leather but for most uses i.e. people generally training twice a week for fitness, its perfect.
I could go on for ages and ages but t be honest if you really want some advice give me a call on 01204 659 719 and I'll talk you through it and answer any questions you have. We stock them all so I have no particular agenda.
The office is open 9 - 5 Monday to Friday ask for Colin or Simon (me) either of us can give you the advise your after.

we did have some in stock but unfortunately Bisping took the last pair and I don't think they are producing any more of that design.

I placed an order almost a week ago online www.fightstuff.co.uk and the order is still processing. I have just aquired a pair and do not need them now. Is it possible to cancel an order in the processing stage ? Theres no option to cancel order anywhere on the site and the help/querie genie thing is fucked and not working. there is no e-mail address for the guy that owns it.
Any ideas ?

is their phone number not working , under selling regulations you are allowed 14 days to "change your mind" and in legal terms you dont need any other reason than that to get a refund!!
if you need the exact wording ill dig it out for you
