Judo at Team Lagarto oldham

Polish Black Belt Kamil Tomaszewski will be teaching judo sessions at Team Lagarto Oldham. Kamil has been a friend of the team for some time but is now residing in the UK on a permanent basis. He took silver in the recent Junior Polish Cup.

Sounds interesting, what association is this with & what level of coaching qualification does Kamil have? Hope it goes well for you zippy and by the way. If he wants to do any serious judo signpost him to urmston judo club or to me

At the moment he will come under NAKMAS.
I know he will want to compete in Judo over here and so getting the correct links will be important. He only came over on Friday so we are still in the stages of organising things and hopefully we want things in place for the middle of July, so in the mean time he is teaching our BJJ guys on the Tuesday.
I'm sure when he has settled down he will be looking at his own training in a view to compete and urmston seems his best option at the moment.
We were hoping Gabriel was going to come back over this year, but due to a shoulder injury he is out or 5 months and will be over next year. This would have been good for Kamil as well as Gabriel (and selfishly my club) as they no doubt would have linked up to go training in Urmston.
It would be good if we could link with yourself and use your experinece and knowledge of Judo in regards to the best routes for Kamil to compete and establish himself with a Uk Judo organisation.
Iv done bits of Judo with Gabriel and Kamil, but this is the first time we have had the chance to have regular lessons at the club and we are looking forward to it. We need that consistancy to improve this area, the odd lesson is not enough to be competent in Judo and so this should be good and lots of fun and sweat.
