View Full Version : whats the best thing to eat afta training on a night?

what would anyone's advice, be on the best thing to eat after training (weights n cardio) considering i usually finish around 9.30-10 pm. i already have lean protein shake with tablespoon of l-glutamine, but feel i need to intake something else, (goals are lose fat gain muscle)

Low fat cottage cheese? If I'm starving I'll usually eat some chicken breast and maybe some scrambled egg

Is this your last meal of the day? I'd recommend cottage cheese for it's casein content (slow digesting protein.)

yeh it is, i cant stand cottage cheese, but cud giv it a try, i usually have sum malt loaf, n fruit, is that gud or bad? i've heard people talking bout an insulin spike from fruit or sumat.

If you can't stomach cottage cheese (I sometimes can't, sometimes love it! - it's wierd..) but try fat free fromag frais however you spell it

cheers guys, is that fromage frais, the kids yogurt (cos their well nice) defo be able to stomach a few of them? n finances wont allow anymre substances at the moment,but will keep that in mind,
