UWC im a big fan of your event, infact my favorite event, just saying it how i see it, good win over Mysala but Mysala has no stand up game he a BJJ expert.
Wayne Book has only ever fought bums, i mean check out his record he gets who ever he wants to fight, has a quick turn up and fuck off and sells a few tickets, i see this fight as a no go but thats my opinion i think that both fighters have been protected by respective orgs as tickets sellers.

To a certain extent I agree but you could argue that Most of the Gracies are bums according to your point about Mysala... Anyways lets move on....

Tom Blackledge going to LHW ?, He was fecking huge last time I saw him, he'd be a monster if he could make 205lb

I saw him about 3 months ago and he was 100 odd then, I don't know how he's soo fucking big and weighs so little..
Top bloke too and his BJJ is awesome.
Will be good to see him at LHW

I saw denniston lose in rd 1 in december on an exeter show against Dean Aplin. Dean weighed in at 88kgs and beat him with ease. Didnt look very impressive to me...but i understand he has had some good wins in the 6 months since then

denniston is a good fighter with good stand up, and has decent jiu jitsu skills which are improving more rapidly with him training at BTT, and with Dave Lee.
He has great strength which was shown in his pro debut against Neil Groves where he picked him up by 1 leg and slammed him to the ground, Neil Groves being i think 20 or 30 kg heavier for the fight, a fight which in my opinion Denniston would and should of won had their not been a problem with the cage in between rounds.
Heres the vid for the fight, which lasted TWO ROUNDS!

(u don't get shown the stoppage in between rounds).
He is definetly a top contender in England in my opinion

deniston does not look like a light heavy or a heavyweight, he looks like middleweight, he must have heavy bones or something

We are both training full time at Trojan now and he will be cutting to middleweight next time. I reckon he will do well. Denniston was so much bigger and when it hit the ground Dean was all over him.

I have to laugh at that creative reconstruction of what actually happened.
Denniston got the takedown and landed in deans full guard. Dean trapped an arm and got the climbing armbar. That's all. Denniston made a novice error and paid the price. Full credit to Dean on taking the chance quickly and i told him so straight after the fight. We've never made a big deal out of it coz it won't happen again. Just learn from the experience and move on..which he clearly has as you can see - 3 fights 3 stoppages.
We asked for Aplin for the Watford show in april but he didnt step up. We're not interested in him now until he gets some wins. If it happens again i'll wager any one of you denniston wins.

are you being stupid? OK so what your saying is due to the fight being stopped in 1 minute means he was all over him!?!?
Is that like saying because Brock Lesnar lost to Frank Mir in 1.30 of R1 that Frank Mir was all over him?

Truthseeker who exactly did you speak to about this supposed rematch challenge? I have absolutely no knowledge of it, and neither does Dean.
Not that it matters, as you would have recieved a polite knock back regardless. Purely because Denniston doesn't represent a challenge at this point in time. What benefit is there for Dean to fight someone who he recently dealt with in under a minute. If the fight was close then fine yes, but it wasn't even close.
As for the not being interested in him, you talk as if you were the team that came away with the victory. If anyone is in a position to be selective about a potential rematch it certainly isn't you.
It really doesn't help your cause when you try to devalue Deans impressive victory as a way of making an excuse for your "new sensation" being out classed.
I'm pleased to hear that Denniston is training hard at BTT, as they are a good team, but be assured that Dean is bettering Dennistons efforts in all areas and will hand him a similar loss should they meet again.

at no point did truthseeker 'devalue' dean's performance, he said that he gives full credit to dean, and so he should as dean had an impressive performance. altough you are correct in a rematch not doing dean any favours, i do believe that denniston would win this rematch.
i was with him on the day he fought dean and would say that he got too relaxed with the situation. not making that mistake again, denniston has gone on a tear since, winning 3 fights in a row by stoppage.

Charlie, you disappoint me...getting emotional and talking nonsense.
All i've done is describe the fight and point out the discrepancy between what rubbish people are saying and what actually happened.
I suggest you read my post carefully. I never disrespected Dean or made excuses about anything. I suppose its Dean's first win and there's a tendency for people to blow it up and that's what i'm pointing at.
By saying we're not " interested " in him was not a disrespect - He is not active at present so why should we be??? If he was active, getting wins, like denniston , we would be interested but he aint, and until that happens credit is due to the fighter who is busy - as you well know.

Nonsense...Nonsense is claiming to have issued a challenge that neither the fighter or his team has any knowledge of!!!
You claim to have made a challenge to Dean, who then failed to "step up” yet neither of us has the slightest clue what you're talking about. Just who exactly did you issue this “challenge” to that Dean failed to “step up” to?
Also where in my post did I use the term disrespect I believe I used the term devalue, totally different inferences in my mind?
As for your "not interested" comment, it came across as unambiguously dismissive. If that was not your intention then perhaps you should be a little clearer when making your point.
Regarding Denniston I think your claims are a bit premature when you consider that there are the likes of Turner, Freeman and Goddard (they are just the ones that came to mind) to get through before claiming to be the best. It is of cause every teams right to promote their fighter, but I think the method you have chosen is ill advised.

hilarious how someone thinks that a 6-2 fighter who has got nobody on his record is the best LHW in the UK.....!!!! Let's hope he's not or the UK MMA talent pool is really shallow.
As for Tom going to LHW.... I remember him being 92k... a few years and a lot of meat and potatoe pies ago, though :D

Fighters and there friends are gonna think there the best in there weight class, there s no point being negative about yourself is there, i think i can beat any uk middleweight if my conditioning is right but others probaly wouldn t agree.

It's fair enougn believing in your fighter, but stating he is the best in his weight in the country when he has never faced any ranked competition is laughable.
The guy may indeed turn out to be the best in the country, but let's see him work up the rankings and start fighting some better competition before getting carried away.
Tom Blackledge would destroy they guy, Cahoon would mangle him and Freeman would school him... so theres at least 3 fighters who are above him

I think we've got a great pool of talent at LHW, any two out of Freeman, Zikic, Turner, Cahoon, Blackledge and probably a few more who don't spring immediately to my mind would put on a great, competitive fight for the fans. I think Denniston's a couple of leagues below the "Premiership" at the moment.
