Right, I am 16 and I need some help with my diet.
I weigh 111kg which is mostly fat if I have to be honest. My diet varies each day, sometimes I eat really healthy, with no bad stuff, yet other days I have little healthy and mostly crap.
I know that I should be eating nearly all healthy stuff and treat myself on the odd occasion.
My main problem is will power. My house is full of chocolate, and crisps. I never eat anything that is deep fried, and very rarely eat proccesed meat.
My problem is, if I get bored or if it is there I will eat it. I have limited myself a lot compared to what I used to be like.
But can anyone help me with a diet plan because I have never done one before or atleast on a few pointers on how to improve my willpower.
I have started running a lot, and doing general exercise like press ups, sit ups and stuff like that.
Anyway sorry for going on, I am just a little stuck.
Joe

Best thing to do is see a doctor who can then test blood pressure and read your previous medical history..they can send you to nutritionalist whoo will devise eating plan...willpower comes down to what you want...you need a goal to focus on, and if you cheat you must blame yourself and train much harder..speak to your gp...good luck..

Hi Joe,

Have a think about what causes you to eat the 'bad' stuff. Is it because you always eat chocolate whilst watching the telly in the evenings or you love a bag of crisps before bed? Once you have thought about your triggers you can do something about them. Don't sit down in the evening to watch the telly & have a shower before bed for example. Also, don't deny yourself totally the foods you love - make sure you have a small amount a couple of times a week - then you won't feel deprived and then 'cheat' and eat them.

I eat the crap because when I was little I used to get picked on, then it came as a comfort food, knowone picks on me anymore, due to some confrontations with the "bullies", and I guess I just never stopped the habit, and I get bored easily, so eat when I am bored. I try and try to stop, but never doe but I still blame myself because I am in control of what goes in my mouth. So I guess I have stopped giving into cravings and such. I have tried this for like nearly 3 weeks now, and dropped 7lb so I am happy, and I went to my GP and I do have slightly high blood pressure, but he said nothing to be worried about, and I see a nutritionist once a month so I am happy :)

If you can't beat the boredom and snacking then remove the chocolate etc so it isn't there and replace it with some healthier options plenty of threads here on options for them.

Additionally ask someone to design you a general fitness/diet program, might cost you a few quid but would be tailored and hopefully allow you to stick to it rather than get bored.
