Is it any good for you or not? Everything is expensive at the moment, particulalry while being out of work, everything except liver which is dirt cheap. What's it like in terms of protein content and any health concerns with eating lots of it?
Added bonus my girlfriend won't eat it so more for me!

With around 7000% of the rni of Vit B12 (if my memory serves correctly) i would have thought you'd be a massive fan.
Protein is around the 20 g/ 100 g, like detox said. Packed full of vitamins and mineral, but there have been some suggestions of toxins. I personally don't eat the stuff, but that's more of a taste thing.

cheers guys, I won't go overdosing on it, if you don't like the taste particularly from experiences of dry liver that's been cooked for hours then just try it flash fried in small strips with a sauce of your choice

I'm a fan of liver for the protein and affordability content. Also, it's something different and I love experimenting.
I'm wondering what liver is the best though?
Lamb? Pig? chicken? what?

I eat my liver raw. Just like my hero, Gazza.

Calves liver is delicious - just lightly pan fried it's the business.
That and kidneys - also really tasty, and a nice bit of variety

Yeah saw that on a wildlife program, to much vitamin A is poisonous and polar bear liver per 100g contains something like 1000 times more vit A then our body can handle. I'd stick with the calves liver safer to eat and obtain.

But you would still rather eat shit? I think that's a brave move, in fact I'd treat you both to dinner to see you scoffing down a steaming turd whilst I tuck into an offal special.
Flash fried liver all the way, nice thin strips so it's not chewy, plus it costs less than a bag of crisps.
