Now you could say that you hadn't read those books or seen any previous threads on worked MMA matches.... but that would just be confirming your ignorance.

I know what you mean, but I just think he's new to MMA and is after advice so that he doesn't get crap equipment. I wish some of the guys at our gym would do it before rushing out and buying fight gloves and not sparing gloves!!!

About 10 years ago I was working for an IT Security company. One of the guys had just qualified for the company car scheme and had to choose a new car. He spent weeks asking everyone he could, what car? What colour? etc.... it was getting fucking annoying.

So the lads got together and hatched a plan.... it was at the time that MG had launched the uber gay MGF roadster. So we got a brochure and selected the gayest possible colours, etc. The every time he asked, we told him what we thought he should buy.

A short while later he roles in to the car park in a brand new MG MGF Roadster, in a pink/purple colour, white soft top and white leather interior.... he had to live with that car for the next 3 years :)

Alterantively it could be "Don't ask stupid questions" or "Jesus mate, why not have your own opinions instead of using everyone elses" or.... well there's loads of potential morals.

In the aaronwillis situation, the constant gear posts are a bit annoying, but he's clearly new to the sport and he is therefore sking for advice so that he doesn't make the wrong choice though ignorance. That's a good thing, so I don't have a problem with it :)
