is it just my opinion or is Neil Grove one of the most overrated fighters in the UK? i think cage rage push him because he is big bald and does thier promos for them, it seems like cage rage would rather push thier mediocre HW's than thier very talented smaller fighters. i have no interest in seeing UK HW's except freeman.
on the other hand it is a nice website

Yes its your opinion, but what gives you the opinion that he's overated. He's lost once and has beaten James Thompson, Robert Berry, Denniston Sutherland to name a few. And to say Cage rage push him because he's Big and bald WTF. So what your saying is if your Tall and bald Cage Rage like you? My uncle Mike is 6'6" and as bald as the day he was born, so is he ready for a shot at the title??

neil groves last few fights have been shite. his technique looks very poor, its like a 3am nightclub fight at times. and yes they do promote him because he is a big bastard, cage rage has many more talented fighters in its ranks but they dont fit the "cage rage image".
the Cage Rage HW scene is poor if Grove is the best in it id just much rather watch the lighter guys who focus more on technique, speed and excitement than two big fuckers swinging haymakers then gassing in the first.

Neil throws some vicious leg kicks! That'll be from his Kyokushinkai background

Nimmy, I agree that generally the higher weight divisions are usually not as technical as the lower weight catagories and produce more slugfests. But thats the same across most combat sports.
I've been involved in boxing for years and I would far rather watch some of the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions than the heavyweights. But to say someone is overated when really they have a decent record is not really fair.
As for someone's appearance contributing to the fights they get, well some of Cage Rage's main fighters are not big, or folically chalenged so what is a typical "Cage Rage" fighter because I see no pattern

yeah i agree with your statement about across combat sports, but thats only recent as boxing has few good HWs now, but i think cage rage instead of embracing the fact that they have no marketable or "world class" HW's when they have an abundance of talent in lighter ranks, push neil grove, and when you push him he will fall for critisism.
when i said overrated, you can only fight who is in front of you and without disrespect, the division as a whole isnt great, he is possibly the best of a bad bunch, but bear in mind he never fought abdul or tengiz and you can see where im going, i think grove is being pushed by Cage Rage this is backed up in thier fighting hurts promo to be something he isnt. i dont like his style, dont like seeing him fight and i dont like his hype. id much rather see other CR fighters get the exposure.
but this is my own opinon and i respect that you have a different view

Nimmy and Nick are right. Neil seems like a good representative of the sport, he is very well spoken and seems a humble guy. But i do feel he is over rated by the Cage Rage team and is only marketed because of his looks.
Makes you wonder why Tengiz and Rob Broughton were never marketed by Cage Rage and given the "extra push" the both deserve.
