For All Grapplers and Groundfighters, whether your Jujitsu, B.J.J., Wrestling, Freestyle, Greco, Judo, Ne Waza, Sambo, Submission Grappling, Groundfighter, M.M.A. etc, do you want to test your Grappling and Groundfighting Skills outside your own comfort zone, then the U.M.A. Open National (No Gi) Grappling Championships are the Championships where you can put it on the line and test your skills to the max.

In the 2007 Championships we had every style of U.K. Grappler and Groundfighter etc, from the above Arts mentioned, so if you want to test yourself and your skills etc, then Step Up and Represent on Sunday 7th December 08.

The U.M.A. Grappling Championships are unique where as all matches are 3 minuntes in duration, so you have to act and get down to business immedaitely, there is no time to stall, sit back, wait and try to take your time etc, you just don't have the time to do that, so it definately puts everyone to the test.

As others who have Competed at our No Gi Grappling Championships in December 2007 will inform you, its fast, competitive, technical, skillfull, and very exciting, the adrenalin fix and buzz you get putting it all on the line in such a short space of time on the mat is phenomenal, it is an Event you definatly don't want to miss.

Whether your a Novice or Seasoned Competitor, you'll have a great chance of being up there mixing it and rolling with some of the best in the U.K. today.

I think there was 6 ladies in the last UMA (no gi) ground fighting comp. It'd be good if they all turned up to this one.. Hopefully even more will be there. It was a good atmosphere & fun event last time.

Diane, you will get to fight, however, so far there are only two females including yourself, so still a little sparse at the mo, hopefully that will change later this week with hopefully more female entrants, however, if it stay's as it is now, I will arrange to make the bouts the best of 3, so you and the other female fighter will get a minimum of two bouts etc. ;)
