i recently bought some mma gloves from cutting edge martial arts, they took my money but the gloves havent been delivered. i emailed but havent had a replie and i cant contact them by phone. has any1 ordered or had a problem with them before?

oh yes oh yes oh yes. I made the mistake of ordering "Thai strike pads".. and received my "Thai Strike Pad"...
Then, after finally admitting the small print had defeated me, went to order the second pad... waited three weeks and nothing.
Finally called the guy and he answered "sorry mate, none in stock"... threatened to slam his business on the internet etc and make him look bad, so he eventually sent me two good thai pads but it took a fucking lot of waiting and phonecall just to get what should have been a simple delivery.
I shall find the guys phone number for you tomorrow and post it on here, so you can phone him direct okay?

i bought shin pads and gum shield - paid extra £10 for quick delivery - this was a week ago, still no sign of the goods!!
No response to 2 emails i have sent and have tried that phone number, which is no longer in use!

Unfortunately this company is a complete sham,

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

It is not run from a business adress it is run from a residential address in doncaster, its not a shop, its a man running this scam from his home. Not only does he run Cutting Edge Martial Arts but he also runs "into MMA" and "crazy about mobile phones" which when i found this out immediately set alarm bells ringing.

Unfortunately i found this out after ordering around £80 worth of equipment from him and paying extra for next day delivery, a week and a half later i recieved nothing and could not contact via telephone because the only number was a answerphone message with no way of leaving a message for him, and emails went without a reply.

Unfortunately for Cutting Edge Martial Arts i refused to be scammed and beaten by this so i done some "research" and ended up with the guys home address and telephone number. After phoning him at home on his personal home line he shit bricks and i had my items (all be it the wrong Tshirt) within 2 days.

Feel free to contact him at home, i did, and it worked

As i say this is his personal home line so he will not expect your call, but will brick it and sort your order out, dont believe his lies, dont take anybullshit. Demand your order or a refund otherwise a group of us will be contacting trading standards.

a small tip, albeit too late in your case, if you are wanting to place an order online with a company , phone them first to check they will answer their phone in case of any problems.

Emailed back that i think his company was disgusting and that it is being bad mouthed all over MMA forums and that if he didn't give me my refund within 5 working days i would contact office of fair trading and Watchdog!! Got an email back almost straight away with some bollocks about him being overloaded with orders etc and many of his customers are happy. Lets just wait to see if i get my refund.....

just tell him you know his address and if he doesnt get it sorted you will be knocking on his door, thatll get the refund prioritised, he is probably running his business how i ran mine many years ago , you use the latest persons order money to pay for the goods for the previous order as youve spent the company cash down the pub, therefore someone always has to wait, not good.

I dont believe theyre out of stock, if you're anything like me you'll know if somebody is lying to you when you speak to them so i suggest you call him up on the number i provided.

I've a funny feeling if you push the trading standards angle you might get a rather swift refund.

I ordered a £70 medicine ball from the website on the 4th June and since it stated it usually took around 7 days to deliver I decided to be patient. By the 22nd June it still had not arrived so I contacted the website and got an email saying a second one would be dispatched. It's 3rd July and it is still not here. I used to work for Royal Mail so I know for a fact that parcels never go missing since every item is logged, never mind two parcels in a row, each weighing 10kg! Came across this thread and now I am seriously worried. Have any of you had any luck in either getting your order or a refund? What is the best way for me to proceed? I am going to phone him tomorrow but I do not have high hopes.

I emailed the guy again chasing up my order to see if it had been dispatched and, (2 emails later) surprisingly, got a response stating that the shorts i ordered weren't in stock.
So i sternly but politely said this was unacceptable and want my money refunded immediately.
Awaiting his response, but i tell you now, if he's difficult about it, each response from me will be less and less polite, and i'm sure i can make good use of his address, as posted by mzb ;)

Firstly, just want to say watch out for Valentino Petrescu. Very tough guy indeed. He'll make the UFC very soon.

Secondly, this guy who owns www.cuttingedgemartialartssupplies.co.uk has ripped me off too, and I'm doing everything I can to make life difficult for him. Here is what I plan to do, and perhaps you should consider doing it aswell.

(1) write an email to his payment service provider stating that their client is in violation of merchant protocol by not advertising a phone number and legitimate trading address. support@sagepay.com

(2) go on the norton websafe site review and slate him. he's already got a number of people exposing him for what he is. Add to it.

(4) if he is not refunding your money, call your bank and ask for a chargeback form. This will allow you to explain his conduct and get the bank to literally grab the money back from his merchant account. This will also cost him £ 10.00 for every successful chargeback made - nice ;-)

I didn't read this thread till after I'd ordered 2 t-shirts and a pair of shorts from Cutting Edge and not recieveing my stuff. I rang him and the guy told me the Tapout shorts I'd ordered were out of stock, and to his credit agreed to upgrade me to the Ultimate Fighter shorts F.O.C. They arrived the following day and in good condition.

I have since ordered another pair of shorts that arrived yesterday and am still waiting on the t-shirt, and again fair do's he has kept me updated. I don't think the guys a rip off, I just reckon the stuff on his website is not stock he holds...

I can only really go by my experience, and not sure what sort of response I would have got just via email, but in all fairness the guy has done the right thing by me.
