The best people to answer that are probably your coaches, they'll know when you're at a level to move on to the more advanced techniques

not after 7 lessons thats for sure, best to ask your coach, I attended the beginner lessons were I was at for 4+months, I'm unable to make them now so I go to more advanced. They were good lessons though!

The lessons have never really be designated as "Beginner" classes. You are pretty much free to train in eaither session, however, purely by the fact that we have fighters to train in the later session means that we don't have the time to go through basics and therefore it's easier to train with Ste and Danny W.
You are more than free to train at either or even both, in fact I would recommend training at both and I am sure Ste and Danny W would agree. There are no sessions next week due to Christmas, etc, however, after that, feel free to come to the later class if you want.
If you want to discuss with me, pm me and I'll let you have my number...
Aaron (one of the coaches from the later session)

will be good to have a new sparring partner for 12 Gauge, Rob B, and Big Mike.
fuck sparring with you.
As Aaron said, train at both sessions, we are very lucky to have excellent coaches at the colosseum and all will offer sound advice, just ask them.
We are also very lucky to have some of the best pisstakers in the business.

Indeed. The big difference between the sessions is in the level of piss taking. The later class is much harsher, so if you are easily offended or upset, it might not be for you.
We have lost a few guys because they were too sensitive.

My lack of skill is one of the legends of the Colosseum but I trained at the sessions that Aaron coaches for five years and always got a lot out of it.
It can be a bit of a problem if you don't like MMA Victor Meldrew types though. The class is full of old codgers these days

seen a few of their classes after the beginners class they are all quite young i've seen a few posts about the average age of colloseum one was like the average age is 64 which isn't true at all but even if they were all old they'd have more knowledge and experience that they'd picked up over the years

Actually I thought Wallace and Santa were the same guy. There's a definite resemblance in the size department

usually the kids sit on santas knee but if you're a new kid at colloseum he sits on you. then digs his elbows in your ribs, says sorry and does it again

LOL. You forgot the bit about the humiliation of making you tap out to grapevining your leg while in mount

the joys of sparring with Waldorf....
Im sure at some point he will:
Give you the toe poke of doom in your throat / floating rib / thigh
Headbutt you
throw you into the wall for no reason
try to use the punch bags to his advantage whilst in top position
whislt pushing you against the wall use his head the facebar you.

It is a shame we no longer have the radiator, which I always thought was a great weapon in sparring.

quite possibly, but the fan with no cover and the bucket must come a close second.

so you swapped a bucket and a fan for a cage and more than one punch bag in a well looked after gym. not badd reli. i saw the old gym about a month ago and it was a mess compared to powerbeck lol
