Hi,
I run Like 2 Fight clothing, Jay Evans and I are currently planning on releasing a tshirt designed for women as we feel womens MMA clothing is significantly under represented.

We are looking for some female input:
*What you want/don't want to see on a tshirt
*Any ideas you have no matter how 'out there' or different!

We decided that we don't want to get something on the market that doesn't represent what women want to see on their MMA clothing, so have a real input into our clothing!

I am sure we can arrange some freebies to anyone who comes up with an idea that we use!

I'm 100% sure Like 2 Fight will be looking into that shortly, there currently getting some T-shirts made and I've pleaded for the chance to design a Womens MMA T-shirt! hopefully if this goes well with everyones help then it'll be a chain reaction leading to some high quality fight gear.

Like 2 Fight thought it would be an even better idea to have this T-shirt I'm designing as a sort of "Interactive" design, so input from the growing UK Womens MMA scene would get the chance to voice there opinion.

:D this way another "I <3 Cage Fighters" T-shirt wont be made ....... ever again!

We did a thread on this a little while ago, there was some info in there.

Basically not pink, not all camo and not the tacky fonts you tend to get on some fightwear, I personally really like the Hyabusa style - really nicely designed stuff and not tacky at all.

The thing is ,its usually men deciding what it is women want rather than women getting an input. Tapout women's gear really doesn't do anything for me.

I would say for me, something similar to Hyabusa- simple and not tacky.

If you get any designs,I would be happy to comment, I am a bit of a design nerd.

ok, a shaped t-shirt that cuts in at the waist. a small logo that's in a corner somewhere, not printed largely across the chest.

Very cool so far, so something not too over done? and in the corner somewhere is a sign of something cool? like say a Badge of sorts? or something that fits well together? logo like or text manipulation?

:D this is gonna be fun to design muhahaha.

I like the side panels with a pattern

or the cap sleeve - again not pink!!! greens blues browns reds

I also like this type of top and would love to see them made as rashguards not just tshirts because the necklines on rashguards can be really annoying to fight in if they are to high over your throat.

It would be good to get some brighter colours too as well as the obligatory black / dark blue / browns - (did someone mention NOT pink!). Red is good.

I think a lot of designs on guy's T-shirts are pretty cool. It sucks when they aren't produced in female sizes/fits coz I'm quite petite so even the small sizes in the men's Tees drown me. I've found that in general, not just in MMA, designs on men's T-shirts tend to have a lot more creativity and design style than those for women. It would be nice if this imbalance was redressed...

makes an interesting change to a rash guard i suppose!

I personally like the designs of these lot

http://www.fightergirls.com/store.asp

but ive got a couple of pairs of shorts and the sizing is slightly strange. very baggy on the waist and tight round the legs. Its nice to have normal size 8,10 etc. Instead of small, mdm and large,
Im against pink but golds and bright colours are good i think, There is some really cool lads designs. Like the MMA Universe stuff.

i like the mad designs in deviant art and if you break a picture down, a caracter could be a cool logo.

Haha yeah and on mondays training session the day after sunday lunch.
I like the fit of caged steel stuff but slightly bland on the design front.
The board shorts have served me well tho.

I have a few of these and love the Hiroshige/ Hokusai styling. Colours like blues, orange, reds, greens, etc would be ace. Also trunks like they wear in Pride that are knee length or mid thigh; I always find the sprawl style shorts get caught and can be a bit restrictive (plus I think I may possibly suffer from a gigantic arse) so the tight stretchy trunks are preferable.

Work on the Womens clothing designs is starting this Tuesday, keep the comments rolling! I've already taken onboard alot of the comments ^.^ looking forward to everyones reaction when the work is completed!

Womens MMA designing scariest to me, It's something that in my view has never been done well in the UK, I wanna set the standard as I always aim to do with everything I work on.
