Results in fight order i think?

1 SUZY CAHILL-WESTON COMBAT GYM v CLARE BAYLE-WPT SWANSEA - 62KG MAX
Winner Clare Bayle. A good ladies match up, with Suzy Cahill giving away 3 kgs to the experienced Bayle, Cahill started off true Thai Style, with Bayle who is extremely fit, pushing the pace through all of the rounds, earning the victory with higher work rate and slightly stronger techniques and combinations.

2.DAN WILSON-SKORPIONS EXETER v DEAN MYLAN WPT SWANSEA 65KG MAX
Again a hard fought contest with Mylan starting strong but Wilson clinching the victory after settling into the fight with more powerful, effective and accurate work in rds 3,4 and 5 to earn the points win.

3 PAUL McMAHON-PHRAYA PICHAI BIRMINGHAM v ALEX CASWELL-WPT CRICKHOWELL 61kg MAX
A stormer of a fight , both fighters only 15 years old, Caswell looking like a muscle man but McMahon showing his good Muay Thai techniques. 2 very good junior fighters at 59 and 61 kgs respectively, both having their first real fight looked better than Novices and have a bright future in this sport. result 'DRAW'

4 GREG HUGHES-JCB GYM BUILTH WELLS v MARK EVANS-WPT SWANSEA 85kg MAX
Another good novice fight with both lads showing good skills, however Mark who seemed to have a little more in the tank won on points, whereas Hughes gave to much in the first 2 rounds and seemed to flag in the later rounds allowing Evans to rack up the points.

5 CRAIG RUDD-PHRAYA PICHAI BIRMINGHAM V STEVE HODGES-RAMA BRISTOL 88KG MAX
2 powerhouses at 88 Kilos short stocky powerful guys showing grit and skill, winner was Steve Hodges from Bristol who edged the fight with better kicking and muay thai skills. Rudd seemed to be throwing mroe punches but Hodges techniques landed with more effect. Result points win for Steve Hodges.

6 KIRSTY LUND- WIDNES THAI KICKBOXING V ALISON THOMAS- WPT SWANSEA 72KG MAX
A cracking ladies fight with Thomas throwing strong punches and low kicks from the first bell, however Kirsty weathered the storm got her composure and proceeded to dominate the fight with excellent teeps to the face of Thomas together with superior Thai Boxing skills that the Swansea girl couldnt cope with. Result 5th round stoppage for Kirsty Lund who has a long way to go in this sport.

7 AMEEN ALKILANEY-EAGLES CARDIFF V RICHARD - KING GYM SOUTHAMPTON 67KG MAX
A good first fight for both lads who showed real skills and power far beyond their young ages. Ameen sailed through this fight with strong low kicks and excellent combinations to earn a points win over Richard who was 3.6 kilos heavier at the weigh in. Ameen weighing 65.4 AND Richard 69.1. both fighetrs making their debuts at 17 and 18 years respectively.

8 GOBIND SINGH-EAGLES CARDIFF v PHIL GREGORY-WESTON COMBAT GYM 71kg MAX
A real cracker of a fight with Gobind throwing excellent kicking combinations together with strong clinch work and excellent low kickicking to earn a points win over the always dangerous 'Phil of Cynon', Phil who was a credit to his trainers Kevin and Marc threw some punches that would have knocked out a horse, all credit to him and to Gobind who has got his training right and thus ended his recent losing streak. However it should be noted that Gobind was fighting at 69 kg this time due to pull outs, his true weight should be 65-67kg so an evene bigger win fighting out of his weight category.

9 MARIUSZ. EAGLES CARDIFF V MATT ASHMOLE WPT SWANSEA 85kg MAX
Another stormer with the Swansea boy being a very dangerous puncher as he comes from a Boxing background, Mariusz listened to our advice and stuck with the low kicking combinations that earned hima 3rd round stoppage win. However throughout the fight Ashmole always looked dangerous with very good boxing skills.

10 LEWIS LONG-EAGLES CARDIFF V ALEX WILSON-KING GYM SOUTHAMPTON
Again another good win for Lewis Long who improves with every fight. Lewis proved to skilful for the very strong Wilson who despite trying very very hard he just could not get into the fight. Lewis at 18 years old is a future prospect in the sport and as he competes in Judo and MMA has a lot of power and unorthodox techniques, however he settled into this fight and forced a 5th round stoppage win.

11 JIMPY-EAGLES CARDIFF V BEN WILLIAMS-JCB GYM BUILTH WELLS 68 KG MAX
Another excellent fight with the tall rangy Williams using teep and even side kicks to the head and face of the the shorter stockier Jimpy. JIMPY struggled to get past the range in the first 2 rounds and seemed to be working slowly, however when he unleashed his combinations they were very powerful and scored with effect. Jimpy stepped up in rds 3,4 and 5 to claw back some points- result 'Draw'

12 SAID HOSINI-EAGLES CARDIFF V ROD KERR-PHRAYA PICHAI BIRMINGHAM 95kg 5x1.5min
This fight was stopped before it even got started as the powerful Kerr came forward with punches and strong clinch work, however Said was starting to dominate the fight with kicks to the legs and head of Kerr forcing standing count in rd 1. In rd 2 one round kick to the face knocked out the contact lens of the Birmingham fighter who stated he couldnt see and therefore couldnt continue- result winer by TKO 2nd rd Said Hosini

******* GOLDEN BELT WELSH TITLE FIGHT 5X 2 'B' CLASS 74KG MAX ********

13 SEAN FACEY-EAGLES CARDIFF V LEIGHTON MANNINGS-WPT SWANSEA
A real tear up with both boys showing skills and power, however in contrast to his last fight with Dan Costello, Facey's work rate was phenomenal from the first bell, outworking and outscoring the 'iron man' Leighton Mannings who seemed to soak up punishment like a sponge. Facey throwing full power shots that Mannings disregared like mosquito bites. Mannings looked the stronger in the Clinch and Facey was working better at long range scoring with effective punching and kicking combinations for most of the 5 rounds to earn him the Golden Belt Welsh Middleweight Title by unanimous decision.

A good night for Eagles Wales with 6 wins and a draw out of 7 fighters, and a good all round show with all fights being over 5 rounds.

This was the second show at the venue which lends itself to Muay Thai Shows, thanks go to all the trainers and camps that supported and also to my team Joey, Matt, Will and Nick who worked behind the scenes to ensure it ran smoothly and that the fighters were all prepared and gloved up etc on time.

Thanks to the judges- Graham Eva (Exeter Skorpions) Lee Badman (SIMTA Bristol) Justin Reekes (Phraya Pichai, Cwmbran) and also to Tom Ashe from Tiger King in Weymouth who did another excellent job in refereeing this show.
