Do people notice much difference whilst taking Whey Protein? I know that 'Whey Protein' is the suppliment to take right now and we pretty much have every single person in the MMA/Weights classes legging it over to their bag once the class is over to down their shakes, but I was wondering how effective it actually is?
I didn't notice much difference in recovery time when taking it in all honesty, perhaps it was the brand I took, but it seemed a waste of time as I was able to eat a decent meal about 30 minutes after training anyway.

Yeah, not much point in taking some whey protein if you're going to eat a good meal 30 mins after training, just a waste of money.
Is useful in other situations though.

I find it good for getting protein into me in the morning without having to cook or drink milk. my brekkie is a shake of oats, fruit and whey

tbh, I find that the carbohydrates are more crucial to get in straight after training than the protein

Same here mate, I'm rarely hungry first thing and so I use a shake with some oats and raisins in.

took it straight after training (after which i never usually had a meal cos its usually late) and i noticed a big difference in comparison to not taking it.
Sleep deeper and feel alot fresher in the morning after.
Got a piss poor diet though so could probably get same results eating properly!
