Rio is a big place, might be easier to ask someone out there, i think they will have a better idea.

A shop, there is one next to the Havianna superstore off of copacabana. It's upstairs in some big building can't remember exactly where. Also there is a shopping precinct just at the end of the copa. If you walk along the copa ike you are going to ipanema the road curves round to the right, there is a surf shop on your left. That's the precinct and there is a fight store in there.

there are about 5 fight shops in santa clara shopping mall, off copacabana. also there is a fight shop corner copa/ipanema inside a surf shopping mall.

always haggle, dont accept the first price, they WILL try and gringo you, either take a local with you are walk away at first.

if the gym your training at dont sell any, ricardo vieira sells them at his gym, pretty reasonable, his gym is on rua francisco sa, off copacabana, its called fightzone.
