This is a novice tournament to give fighters cage experience.

There are no knees and elbows, no stamping on feet, no slams, spikes or heelhooks.

Head shots are allowed stood up and on the ground.

We get interest from many areas of martial arts, people wanting to try their hand in the cage, so we work on the side of caution and fighters safety is paramount.

Things are looking good for saturday night, will be posting final fightcard later today or early tommorrow, some really interesting fights, for this stepping stone tournament lots of guys coming along to check out the format with a veiw to competing on the next one, the BBC will be in attendance again as the final part of their documentary on Lisa and female mma, so everyone on best behaviour, lets show them what we are really about, good match ups and sportsmanship.

Thanks to everyone who attended 'Testing Ground 2' at Leeds cage, it was good to put faces to the many people who usually are on the other end of a phone. I think people now see where we are going with this novice style fight night and can see what we are trying to acheive, thanks to everyone the officials the fighters the coaches and the supporters.
I will post the results shortly had a very hectic last few days, we have now done the final filming with the BBC, who were once again in attendance, looking at grass roots martial arts.

We are thinking of having a 3 man team event at the next event. each team member will do 1 x 5min round. 3 different weight cats. probably -70kg ... -80kg(or -85kg) .... and -90kg (or -100kg)
