Cheap £5 J-sport(?) plain white jock strap does me fine :cool:

I use a thai metal one in a jock strap, I find the cheap ones dig in at the sides, especially when you've had it for a while and the rubber edging starts to some off.

Not very comfortable at all! But then again anythings better than cracked knackers.

I find a shockdoctor moves around quite a bit for pure grappling and use my shock doctor in a standard jockstrap and then use the compression shorts for Thai and MMA Sparring. So yeah go with the jockstrap I reckon!

If your buying one coz youve had a problem, groovy. If theres been no specific problem then you dont have to have one.

Ive been grappling 5 years on and off and have never really felt the need for one - yes Ive caught a few - but nothing thats ever required a box. The choice is yours.

I dont believe they are allowed in competition.

Metal thai cup in a jockstrap works for me, always worrid about the family jewels so i believe it pays to protect them.

Also works well against your opponent.

thats why its not allowed in comps! But yeah taking the back and sprawling is fucking awful and so is a triangle!!
