View Full Version : training tips for 4weeks out

Hi, im 4 weeks out from my first amature mma fight, I used to play a bit of top flight rugby so I know my way round the gym but wondering what sort of stuff I should be doing now to optimise my performance as im new to this game. Im currently doing 3 sessions of 8 -10 reps focussing on mainly olympic lifts and big body movements as this is what i used to do for rugby, but i think im gona find out the hard way that this is no rugby feild and will be much tougher than alot of things iv done previous!!!

Im currently 86kg and im droping to 84kg for the fight, and its 4weeks away I would love any tips on training, conditioning and weights from anybody who thinks they can help coz I havnt got a scooby doo if i should keep out of the weight room etc at this close to the fight!!!!

get on the gear and concentrate on weight lifting twice a day 6 times a week, stop all cardio sessions, and bow to your sensei shaky at least 3 times a lesson. you will find that this regime will help u enormously:D

i was going to do that anyway ;)

i asked the ginger ninja and he said for me not to brush my teeth for 4weeks and use the breath of death as a submission??
