Hi Folks

Fight Live has been online for a little under eight months now, so we are still very much a newbie website. Over the course of time we aim to expand our internet footprint and keep up the growth of the site, developing different areas and attracting more and more visitors.

So far this month, our server log has recorded 14,388 page views - as of 2pm today. Each month the number of page views increases which is great news.

Not only can we see how many people visit our website, but through our logs, we can also see how they arrive. We can even see what people are keying into search engines to find our website. This tells us that a very large percentage of our site visitors are looking for background information about specific fighters - researching fighters... if you like.

With this in mind, we are looking into the idea of building a 'Fighters Profile' section of the website. But given that this would be quite a large project, I figured that it would be a good idea to ask fighters if they would be interested in adding and updating their own profiles.

This kind of up to date information would be very useful for Fight Promoters, many of whom can find it quite challenging when matching fighters. And it would also be of great interest to fans/supporters and even a great source of information for potential sponsors too.

We are pretty techie savvy here, so we could build a database with many fields of searchable information.

However, the first step is to find out if there would be sufficient interest from fighters and coaches. And if there is interest - feedback on useful content.

I'll be very grateful to anyone who responds, either in this thread, or if you prefer - send me a PM.

Thanks
Dave

Hi mate, just checking the site out. Are you essentialy a fight photography company and web design?

How much work do you do in the boxing field as opposed to MMA?

Thanks - Tim

Hi Tim

The idea behind Fight Live is to focus mainly on MMA, I love MMA, but I also love most contact sports including boxing, kickboxing etc.

I did boxing myself and being and old sweat with a large hernia, MMA came far too late for me to take part. Although my son & daughter do MMA. My son also takes part in other combat sports... he's in a K1 fight on Sunday night, so I'll be ring side for that.

In terms of boxing. I go where I'm asked - provided I'm not already booked into an MMA event. I publish very little about boxing on Fight Live, boxing is usually assignment work for mags, papers, other web etc... I know there are some purists about.. but I just love Fight Sports.

For work I do a large amount of projects including website design, photography, graphic design, print etc.

Good luck with this.

Cheers Rich
