The 'Testing Ground ' series of tournaments are aimed at novices to mma, the fighters come from many backgrounds, semi contact points, light contact kickboxing and sports jujitsu are just some examples. The fights are 3 x 3mins rds. Headshots are allowed standing and on the floor unless otherwise requested i.e. no headshots on floor. No slamming, no spiking, no heel hooks, no biting gouging, groin or joint strikes, no strikes to the back of the head, no elbows no knees, no stamping on the feet. The referee will consider the fighters safety at all times and will stop the fight at any time he/she considers a fighter to be in serious danger of being hurt.Fighters must wear mma shorts, rashguards optional, mma gloves gumsheild, groin guard, females breast guards must be worn. 2 cornermen per fighter, but a 3rd warm up coach allowed. We expect fighters coaches and supporters to conduct themselves properly at all times and act in the best interests of our sport. Looking forward to seeing you all, looking like a really great night. Thanks for your support.

Just to remind everyone that the weigh ins are 12-4pm... Have all forms filled in and ready to hand in... also we will be taking pre-fight photos at this time.

Can fighters have their fight music on a cd with one track only and clearly labeled with their name also to hand in at the weigh in.

We aim to improve each show, and this time we have major improvements, and more planned for the next show, September 26.

Looking forward to see you all

Sorry if i squashed ya Brad LOL, big thanks again though fella for getting in and helping me let off a little steam.

I trained really hard for my fight and it's totally gutting when you get a no show, especially when a load of friends have bought tickets and travelled.

Although an exibition is'nt the real deal it was still fun to throw and try some of the fancy stuff without fear of getting your clock knocked off.

Thanks again and big respect Brad.

Totally spontanious but we both did pal, would have solved my no fight dilema nicely but him and his mates didnt seem responsive.

To me MMA is an awsome sport and the majority of spectators are getting more and more educated to to finer points but unfortunately it still also attracts a small element of idiots who have no appretiation. Fortunately the fraction is getting smaller all the time.

It kills me though when you get two awsome fighters in say the UFC, who have devastaing striking skills. Just testing the water and building up to a great fight when this small element start boo'ing because they havent seen carnage in the first 30 seconds.

The majority of us want to see 5 rounds of skill and possibly a KO or tap out but these nupties just want claret yet they are probablly the ones whao havent the bottle to get in their themselves... end of rant.
