TUF: Team USA vs UK starts April 2nd on Setanta Sports and will be available WITHOUT SUBSCRIPTION, so all UK viewers with cable, satellite or freeview TV will be able to tune in

from Tuesdays' Daily Star

How would that work? You can't access the channel without a subscription,
hope it is true tho, I'm holding out to find out before I subscribe!

Thats wot Spike TV did with the original TUF in the US so prehaps Setanta are unblocking their site just for this in the hope of getting new subscribers for the main events etc....good plan if they are!

There's been a couple of times I've been flicking through the channels on freeview and have been able to watch Setanta even though I dont subscribe so it is possible(somehow). Great news if it is true tho. Saves having to try find it online.

Nothing on their news page except an article on 'Legends old and new on UFC Undisputed 2009' posted today. We pay for Sentanta for the UFC anyway but it would be good for everyone else if they are doing something to promote TUF

you can buy a free view plus box from asda for 50 pound, you pay 20 pound 2 subscribe to sentanta and then you get 6 months free, i believe theres a catch where you then pay 10 pound a month to keep it for a further 6 months. imgetting one, good deal, you can record and rewind these boxes aswell.:)

its nothing new pay tv that's normally blocked/not subscribed to allowing a channel to work for a few hours. im not subscribed to the movie channels and it's normally a blank screen saying 'subscribe' or something like that, but last week i was able to watch them for a few days, it was some promotion they were doing.
good idea of setanta if they chose to unblock their channel for everyone, will certianly bring in subscriptions and even more so boost the sport in the uk (whats the bet dana and his marketers are behind this).

If you have freeview you should be able to get it. I haven't paid for setanta but sometimes they put free stuff on there that anyone can watch.

When does it start on tv? cant wait

For those of you who aren't aware, TUF 9 is (or at least should be) on Setanta subsciption free for the whole series. So no need to sign up solely for that.
