View Full Version : Gladiator Fight Show, Cumnock Saturday 28th
I'm judging so I'll definitely be there but who else is heading along? Show is being headlined by Wullie McCracken vs Martin Begley, always a few good undercard bouts as well.

i will be there as will Alex and boydie as Jarvie is fighting for the title against a guy from Ireland, it was meant to be Chris Carmichael but he had to pull through injury/illness pity as that would have been a good fight.

Be good to see Jarvie fighting again, looked very impressive at Oran Mor and at the Grappling competition

Jonny "Smut" Smyth.
He used to fight for Chum Sut. He now has his own club Elite 400.
Has fought Martin Begley, Alan Hannon and Graham Turner recently. And hes also fought on Cage Wars in Belfast. Strong guy.

God hurt his foot on henry chans head last night and the devil has a repetitive strain injury in his neck from moshing out at metallica on thursday night.
Might be a painful ordeal.

Good show again.
Willie McCracken beat Martin Begley by triangle in 1st round, think thats willie 6-0 at pro
James 'the thai boxer ' Jarvie beat John Smith by guilotine in 1st round (3-0 all subs with an awesome thai boxing background)
Marty Nic and Kevin Cairney drew after 3 rounds.Could have gone either way ( i scored marty rd 1, kevin rd 2 and rd 3 was tight kevin started stronger but was fading in the latter half) 2tough dudes, landed countless elbows on each other
Cant remember names of the other fights, couple stand out moments where the boxing bout (fight of the day, both guys threw down) wuzz from team viper almost submitting the more expierenced Steve Clark, sticks in mind as he looks much improved since i last ref'd one of his fights.
Judo demo was cool.
Pauls ring entranced for our superfight was the highlight of the day for me.
(unanimous decision to me despite his flying triangle)
Good show, decent crowd looking foward to the dvd.

Congrats to Willie on his win that was the first time ive met him he was a really sound guy, well done to all those that fought and once again good to see you guys, pauls ring entrance was outstanding!!
Dont know when jarvie will get to use his "real tools" in an mma fight but i would not like to be the one to be on the receiving end, well done champ.
see you all on the 11th april.

Jarvie is a terrifying prospect, his grappling has improved obscenely and he could go super far at 70kg. He's huge at 73kg and if he can go that extra 3kg he could be terrifying.
Overall fight card was really entertaining, some super game scrappers.

Alan, he weighed in at 72.8kg but that was only after 15 min in the sauna!!! he could make 70 kg easy. your right though mate.. terrifying.
