Has anyone ever tried the V - Diet by Chris Shuggart? Its a rapid fat loss diet that is done over 4 weeks. I know that a lot of the diet and its plan is to shift bio test suppliments but I was wondering if the idea is sound?
Here is the plan

I know some guys who have tried it; the brand of supplements didnt make a difference, the weight loss was very noticable. The guys I know who did it were normally kick starting a major weight loss program, they wanted to get weight of fast so they could start cardio more easily for example.

Its not major weight loss I just want to go from about 13% bf to around 9 - 10%

Have you tried just lowering your normal calorie intake in a day? I've started using www.fitday.com and tracking stuff and it's surprising the difference you can make when you actually know what's going in (in my case anyway)

I've done the Velocity Diet twice now.
Had better results from the first time round.
I found that if you are just measuring scale weight,
then the first week you can drop 5+ lbs as you hold less water,
and aren't holding solid food in your system.
(I weigh myself first thing in a morning as it seems to fluctuate less,
and gives a better idea of what my cut weight will be).
I think losing 2-3lbs a week is achievable on the program, as it is on most programs, and if you've never really been into calorie counting then it does most of it for you. Didn't really feel hungry too much on it, but sometimes the shakes became a bit hard to face.
If you've never done a lower carb diet then it can be hard to get used to,
as your body takes time to adjust,
and the cravings for junk food (or just any solid food) are hard to deal with at first too.
For me I found that it helped to reset any bad eating patterns I had got myself in to, eg takeaways
as it reminds you that food is fuel, whereas a lot of people get into the food = pleasure mentality.
I find a Paleo style diet is working better for me at the moment:
Nuts, cheese, cured meats.
Eat every 3 hours, 20 mins interval cardio before a meal (where possible)
and big weights sessions Mon/Wed/Fri on a Push/Pull/Legs split.
I've been on this Paleo diet thing for 6 weeks and been measuring my stats:
I'm down from 155lbs, 32" waist (approx 14% BF with 13mm belly skinfold)
to 143lbs, 29.5" waist (approx 9% BF with 7.5mm belly skinfold) (I'm only 5'5).

Did you use Biotest supplements?
Did you stick to the programme (NEPA etc)
How did you find mma training while on it?
Cheers

Nope, didn't use biotest supps. i don't have a problem with them if you can get them at US prices, but over here they are a bit inflated (like Maximuscle)
I used All-in-1 (division of Reflex I think) website is www.sports-nutrition.net
I used the MRP sachets as they are cheap on a bulk buy. And Gain as my PWO drink.
I tried to stick to the plan with raising NEPA and adding all the Fish Oil caps and stuff, but the main part was sticking to the shakes with one solid meal a week.
I wasn't training MMA at the time (due to start soon), but found it hard to recover from heavy weights or intense interval cardio; limit strength tends to drop during a cut anyway so I kept the total volume down. I imagine that you would get run down quite quickly. I did weights M/W/F with morning pre-breakfast cardio 3-4 times a week.
Mainly it depends on you- do you have the time to do this?
What you save in meal breaks + food prep you lose by constantly drinking and going to the toilet.
Would it fit into your lifestyle? A month of not going out for meals with family/friends etc
Is it compatible with your current training: weights, cardio, MMA etc.
As a short term thing (it is only designed to be a 4 week blast) it has a few things going for it- it is never meant to be a sustainable life-style, more of a quick hit.

don't do the V-diet if if you are going to intensive cardio. It's designed for people who do weights and low intensity cardio (walking, bike, etc) like bodybuilders.
Probably a better diet would be the dave palumbo diet (google it) and maybe add extra carbs before training if you are training alot
