hi just after a little guidance I have been out of training for around 2 years and have just started MMA been doing it a few weeks now I do around 4 days a week 2 stand up sessions and 2 jui jitsu lessons and just about to start yoga 1 day a week for my joints, but my lack of fitness is driving me crazy last night after a 10 minute warmup I was gassing like mad sweating loads really struggling this is happening most lessons I realise I need to improve me aerobic performance but not sure how to fit it all in, I started doing like 6 minutes speed boxing tabitas and burpees morning and evening (only manging 10 burpees at the moment in good form), my diet is all cleaned up and I am losing weight slowly which is my other goal,. I am going to purchase ross training books on payday just fishing for some ideas to improve my fitness

Hi!

The Tabata protocol is only four minutes...worth having a read up...

Keep going, and just remember to have appropriate recovery - thats where you get stronger! Rest, rehab and nutrition...

You're gassing because your body needs oxygen...you won't gas unless you push yourself...by pushing yourself your body will respond to the stress by getting stronger...therefore you will have to push harder to get the same gassing...you will be improving!

Check your recovery as above, and just keep going! Looks like you are working hard already!

Take a fake alarm. Go to stores and walk out and set it off. and sprint away for security guard. do this 3 times a week 5 sets

I did try the alarm but the security guard was so slow I only had to walk away, and ye ill just keep pushing maybe put in a jog on weekend and the tabatas I just set the timer up on my computer and ran it for 6 mins and I just checked cheers I didnt know that

There's one security guard at the Manchester Arndale centre, a big black dude with no sense of fucking humour, that I saw having some trouble with a few chavs today; they called him "Robowog" and ran away. He chased them, stern faced, but didn't get them.

agree with smiler , just keep pushing yourself and your body will slowly adapt
