Can anybody advise me on how to gain weight. I weigh 55 kg and i am 5'' 10. Is there any excercises i can do at home or the right foods to eat. I have trained a few times but i want to gain at least 10 kg before i train at my best.

I'm kinda the same as you, 5 foot 8-10 and 57-60kg

I say eat lots of carbs/protein and lift weights!
If you can, try buy a cheap dumbell/barbell set from somewere, i think I paid £30 for a barbell/dumbell, loads of weights and a bench

Also, you wanna gain 10kg before you train again? weight gaining can be a slow process, took me like.. months to start gaining weight.

Damn you fast metabolism!

without training your gonna get fat,

out of curiosity, why would you want to do that?

how many calories are you eating at the moment and how many grams of protein?

Learn how to deadlift, squat, bench and chin. If you're underweight, I believe that (though am not entirely sure) the nhs has initiatives including free or discounted gym memberships to encourage weight training and hypertrophy. Also, eat really hard after your training and make sure that you eat until you are really full in every meal.Keep topped up with lots of carbohydrate(healthy if possible) and a lot of protein. Some people say that after training you should get lazy and lie around all day eating. I disagree with this. You should still lead a normal life just like you would as I believe that unless you're working towards some sort of competetive goal, impacting your life in this way is a little idiotic. Good luck dude.

I dont think you could go wrong buying Practical programming and starting strength by Mark Rippetoe, follow his basic strength training routine, eat plenty and you'll pack on the weight.

I believe Mr Rippetoe recommends drinking plenty of full fat milk as well as strength training to gain weight.

Good luck.

remember to rest, biggest mistake people make when trying to "get big" is overtraining.

get a routine lifting heavy 3 times a week using a proven program. Strong lifts or mad cow, Rippetoes is decent for complete beginners.

and don't tweak whatever routine you are on.

I think someone already said it, but squat, bench, deadlift, eat and sleep
