Which is better Fight Sport, FO, MMAU....or the offical UFC magazine?

The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) organization and American Media, Inc (AMI), today announced a partnership to publish a special UFC 100 commemorative edition magazine that will be available at newsstands across North America and in some international markets.....

....While all the talk to the public has been of a one-off nature, centering on the UFC 100 issue, it is interesting in how AMI is characterizing the issue when selling it to potential ad buyers. As opposed to selling the magazine as a commemorative issue, MMAPayout.com has learned it is being announced to potential buyers as the premiere issue, which hints at a more expansive roll out of the magazine rather than a one time offering....

....The WWE has multiple in house titles to sell to their fans. The UFC have made no secret of their admiration for the WWE business model.


Just rumour and speculation at the moment but interesting, the mag market seems to be burgeoning at the mo.

I read WWF Magazine religiously when i was a kid. A ufc version would catch-up really well, with the non-hardcore fanbase

I too (heart) MMApayout.

If the UFC title is a success with the non hardcore, does that mean us, the real hardcore, must hate on it and resent those who read it in public....they weren't there man, they don't know....

Yeah pretty much, that's the UK MMA way. That's what happens with Ultimate Talk

A UFC mag would bring in alot more casual fans, but the 'real' fans would prob still pick an established mag with more diverse and unbiased contents.

They are all different IMO they all have something to offer, especially as a Promoter and staying on top of news and being up to date across all avenues is important, MMA moves so quickly if you miss a months news for example you have missed a huge chunk of what is happening out there.

Fighters Only have lots of News so for General News across the globe I think that is best, with MMA Unlimted with them.

Fightsport is a great mag I think, lots of excellent photos, and they do a lot for the domestic scene here in the UK

So its personal choice, but I get them all as they all have different elements to offer.

Anyone know what the official distribution figures are on the current UK MMA mags?
Would be interesting to see where things are balancing out since MMAunlimited and FightSport came on the scene.

I might try out Fight Sport, truth be told covers always sell magazines for me, without sounding harsh I would likely pick up an FO / MMAU based on that over Fight Sport.

Thats how a casual fan will operate is my theory :D

I like the name though, sounds cool!

Fightsport - 9,857 (ABC audited, true figure) however told me before they were audited that they print 130,000 copies

Fighters Only - 28,000 (This is not ABC audited and cant be proved by the title)

MMAUnlimited - 8,000 (This is not ABC audited and cant be proved by the title)


remember MMA in the UK isnt very big, these figures are from BRAD insight

To be honest I dont care about the figures, they are irrelevant to me, if I like the mag and what they put inside it then i'll be attracted to that for that reason, not just because they are flying off the shelf so to speak, they all have something to offer to be fair.
