Just a wee comment on the show. This show is shaping up to a belter. Good to see chris grow as a coach and promoter. You have came along way keep up the good work and us as fighters will keep on progressing. Who would have fought fucking about a few years ago in judo adding in punches would have developed into the success of the viper fight team as it is now. It's all down to the commitment of chris. Never missing a beat. Club had the first fight just over a year and a half ago and now we now have at least 1 fighter on nearly every promotion.

heard this is one of the better venues in the country for ability to see the fights, bar access and atmosphere is supposedly great!

He also wnet on about how he was going to put on something massive with tv and fly over an mc from the states (well I suppose that beats using me:D)

I heard Duncan was saying MMA is finished at the fighters hive show and that K1 was the way foward. Seems wierd he would contradict himself by putting MMA fights on his own show a few months later.

Still not sure who is fighting on this show, i spoke to one Coogie on saturday who caoches Thai/K1/Karate fighter Thomas Conroy, Coogie told me Duncan contacted Thomas directly (not very professional, promoters should know to go through coaches/fighter managers etc) and has him matched at 83kg under MMA ruls against a kid called Pete Blackwood, who fought at -70kg at martial mayhem 1.

I think its a sign of how big MMA is getting in scotland that shows are selling out weeks in advance.will this fight be filmed or put on youtube? been watching some of the guys on the line ups fights on youtube last couple days and have seen some fight live now, should be some good match ups.Maybe time for viper fight nights to move to a bigger venue if there selling out?

13 guys fighting in the 1 show, i never even thought many teams would have that amount of fighters in it. Really good going.

I take it thats all the fighters you have barring yourself Chris thats fighting in the show, up to like 15 fighters seems to be a good number, and with all fighting on a local show, should make for a even better atmos.

A few guys on holiday and a few injured also plus at the moment we are bringing through a new pool of fighters that just ain't ready yet. Just the 1 viper fight team. The question on how long do u have to train before you get a fight. Well how long is a piece of string all depends on how fast the fighter develops what level they start at like if the have another sport behind them like boxing judo etc. U coming along tommy? yeah i know him, he was the year above me at school, he went to my uni and i trained with him at Fighters Hive, he also works beside my mum.

i didnt mean that as disrespectful at all. Zander was always quiet at school and into music, very nice guy, works in a nursing home and is going to study medicine or something like that at uni so its not surprising that it didnt strike me at all as the kind of guy into MMA until i came to Ashes class and seen him training, i was under the impression he was doing it for fitness with his mate the first time i went then i seen him on the card.

Great news about the Port Glasgow show

Seems to be one of the most popular in the coutry right now, and by the way people are talking, was an enjoyable day also.

Also heard that Andy Hillhouse was struggling to get matched on some shows in Scotland, its good for him that he got matched at the viper show, and looks to be matched in Alloa, both against viper guys. They certainly seem like they dont shrug any fight, as hillhouse looks like a scary big dude, good the port glasgow guys are stepping up and giving the guy the chance to fight.

wont be missing the next viper show, absolutly great for mma in the country there are so many succesgul teams coming through.

even getting matched with some of the dinky ninja guys is a great achievement, as they seem to have so much experience at fighting and coaching level, so the quicker teams like the vipers, hostile territory catch up with them, the better for the game as a whole in this country

Cheers Vinny. I learned alot from fighting graham. Will be training hard again and getting as much fights as I can. Title won't be getting put up for another year so that's not even in the picture the now m8. Just get as many fights as I can and try to win most of them and learn something from everyone. Be back at training on Tuesday. Can't wait to see the fight with mick and hill house as never got chance to see any of the at that show as they where on just before me. Am going to see chris about arranging my next fight. Think am on down newcastle in aug tho.
